She will receive votes from the duly elected delegates of the convention. Don't you think convention delegates are allowed to do that? Do you think they are not part of the "populace?"
The convention's voting for presidential nomination ended on Monday. I believe they have also voted for VP as well to meet ballot deadlines from states.

There isn't any other way to read it: "If my guy doesn't win, then it is false, and elections don't matter."
Agree.
That's the article's primary point, it even repeats the lie of a stolen election in 2020 and sets up "Trump's Big Lie 2.0"

At first I thought it was someone's attempt at comedic satire; with lines like this, "voters will remember Trump’s awe-inspiring display of virtue.."
Virtue? Trump has been immoral, unethical, and a fraud most of his public life, well before running for president. He's a sexual predator and a criminal - those are not virtues.
Even the event described with the line does not demonstrate virtue.

I'm a third-party voter but I recognize Harris has done everything required to be the nominee. The rest is just one person's nonsensical opinion.

He ran the country with virtue and integrity.

What exactly has she done other than read scripts?

Vice President Kamala Harris has been officially certified as the Democratic presidential nominee after getting the vast majority of delegate votes in a virtual roll call, the Democratic National Committee said.

Harris received 4,567 votes from delegates in the roll call, which concluded Monday evening... Harris had effectively been the party's nominee since Friday

Other than receive the delegate votes required by the DNC, I don't care. I'll be voting 3rd party, again.

Good choice!
For those who plan on voting for her, they should care what she's done, and what she's all about. So far, she seems to be all about the "D" in front of her name, and getting applause from people for reading her script.

I read the blog essay, and I get the distinct impression that that blogger is some sort of monarchist, authoritarian, or fascist. The opposition to democratic process in the blog is striking as is the disconnection from reality.

She’s not Trump.
For a significant portion of the electorate, that's enough. How much is yet to be seen. I think the author of the OP article underestimates how much Trump is disliked.

What facts? Were there no protests against Ford taking over? Were there no problems with him being president? Just because something similar happened in history, doesn't make it a good thing, or something that should be repeated.
I recall some small kerfuffle over Rocky becoming VEEP, (which is why Ford ran with Bob Dole riding shotgun).

It's not just Trump, it's his supporters, too.

Not so sure. Harris couldn't get any support in 2020 during the dem primary and had to drop out.
In contrast, Trump didn't even have to attend the Republican debates to win the nomination.

What Harris can generate is yet to be seen.
On the other hand, I do not think for a second that Biden won in 2020 because he was so approved of. It was because Trump was that repulsive.

Voting based on hate shouldn't be the motive for the Left. Why not just stay home, or vote 3rd party?

Voting based on hate shouldn't be the motivation for anyone, left, right or otherwise. Unfortunately, there's not much else in the major parties of the US.
I vote third party. I have been since, I'm embarrassed to admit, last voting GOP in 2000. I'll vote third party before voting against or the lesser of evils. ymmv

So if Trump wins the upcoming election, would that mean he's become less repulsive?
