The money is certainly not a guarantee, but the vibe I’m getting is that the hoopla is strong enough last at least through November. I think people want to believe in Harris-Walz.Money is a nonissue considering Trump has Musk backing him financially. One of the problems with having someone with over $200 billion as a backer, is it most likely leaves potential doners figuring Musk has the financial end fully covered. And once the hoopla over the Harris - Walz ticket wears off there's a good chance the surge in the polls will drop.
OooooooAs soon as I saw the thread title I thought:
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
This is a sure sign that Harris has an excellent chance of defeating Trump and his supporters are scared.
That and ignoranceI think you discount the power of propaganda.
The context, whether he’s right or wrong, is that she’s not a legitimate candidate, and such cannot be declared a winner.
She is absolutely a legitimate candidate and no one is "declaring her the winner". All of the voting has to happen first. The context, whether he’s right or wrong, is that she’s not a legitimate candidate, and such cannot be declared a winner.
And she received 0 votes from the American people. From the OP:
Kamala is not a legitimate candidate for President. She is not popular. She is not inspiring. She has no base of support. She has no cogent policy proposals to better the country. She is a terrible public speaker with little to no grasp of national politics. She was airdropped into the 2024 campaign because her boss couldn’t string together a coherent sentence. She was selected as VP in the first place because she is a Black woman.
Every statement in that paragraph is factually wrong. She is an American citizen. She is polling ahead of Trump. She has been rapturously received at the rallies she has addressed. Her support can be gauged by the money that has been pouring in and by the opinion polls. She has an abundance of policies; they are not popular with the right, it is true but that is a different matter. The rest is just invective.
Okay. I was just explaining the context. She is absolutely a legitimate candidate and no one is "declaring her the winner". All of the voting has to happen first.
Actually, this is false. As for how she was voted in to become the Democratic nominee, it was essentially the same way Abraham Lincoln was nominated to be the Republican nominee in 1860.And she received 0 votes from the American people.
Opinion piece. I’m sure that all my liberal friends will agree.![]()
And she won't receive any, until November. She won't even be an official candidate until she is nominated in convention--by delegates elected by Democrats. And she received 0 votes from the American people.

How are the delegates chosen? And she won't receive any, until November. She won't even be an official candidate until she is nominated in convention--by delegates elected by Democrats.

Nobody voted for Biden in the primary, either. In the primary, you vote for electors, not candidates (at least that’s how Dem primaries work). The OP’s author wanted folks to live up to their “republican principles” - well, that’s exactly what this is.No, not all of the voting. Nobody voted for her in the primary. She simply took Joe's votes for herself, along with his campaign funds. She couldn't even get votes in 2019 during that primary. Now all she has to do is convince people to vote for her in the general election once she gets past reading teleprompters and shirking interview requests.
So she's abandoned the "democracy thing" then?Nobody voted for Biden in the primary, either. In the primary, you vote for electors, not candidates (at least that’s how Dem primaries work). The OP’s author wanted folks to live up to their “republican principles” - well, that’s exactly what this is.
Maybe you ought to take up your complaints with the DNC since they designed the primary system. So she's abandoned the "democracy thing" then?
Lots of folks have issues with the way the DNC is doing things. Even Black Lives Matter don't want Harris forced on them.Maybe you ought to take up your complaints with the DNC since they designed the primary system.
