Yet, If history is any indicator Trump and the GOP will adopt a significant portion of the Heritage Foundation's policy recommendations.
They have done it in the past and there's no reason to believe that will suddenly change.

Then why on God's green earth do you support the current incarnation of the GOP (either major party for that matter)?
Lobbyists, like the Heritage Foundation and ALEC, are leading them around by the nose. (see link above)

of "334 unique policy recommendations. Analysis completed by Heritage determined that 64 percent of the policy prescriptions were included in Trump’s budget, implemented through regulatory guidance, or under consideration for action in accordance with The Heritage Foundation’s original proposals."
I do have a question . do you know if the nar prophets within christendom are in support of this twenty twenty five or not .
IF so , THEY DO surround trump .
And i would not follow a man or woman of nar to even burger king .
but before you get too harshly on the nar , just rememember
they do help usher in The very agenda of the RCC and of the popes .
Kinda funny that often neither side can see its own errors but only the errors of the other .
If most liberals knew what i knew they would sit and smile big .
HOW DO YOU decieve a group . Tell me . From outside , or do you come from WITHIN
and act as though you are of them , and even speak general things against the things they are against
AND YET YOU DO the work of the very one you speak against in order to decieve your own camp .
THIS WORLD GONNA MERGE as ONE . and its not gonna be for its good either .

Exactly right. Donald Trump has proven time and again he is a threat to our American institutions. He literally tried to use his gullibles to overturn his election loss with violence. So why vote for the guy who inspires more violence? Unless the violence is the motivating factor...I'm guessing the stupid prize bit can be a metaphor for the violence people crave. When voting for Mr Trump is a stupid game. Stupid is definitely as stupid does. It's all FOR the stupid violence and retribution. That's what it seems like. I hate having a pessimistic outlook on my fellow Americans but these actions speak much louder than any of the lies or rhetoric I hear. And sadly, many of these Trump voters claiming to be Christians are also all in for the violence and retribution. Their bibles are dusty from sitting alone in the same spot for too long. My bible teaches something vastly different.

Sadly, people can read what they want in the Bible often times. Many just focus on the parts that seem to endorse their reactionary worldview.

The agenda of the Catholic Church and the pope is to love Our Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love our neighbor as our self. As to Project 2025, it simply is not Trump's project. Since a number of prominent conservatives have apparently contributed I hope that if Trump is elected he will appoint someone to go through the document and report back any ideas that may have merit. I think it is more important to look at the radical think tanks manned by many from the left because a number of their ideas have already been implemented by the Biden administration and should Joe win again people need to be aware.

Yes. No doubt that he would not have done that yet. That would be a politically savvy move that would require work.

I don't think it's necessarily a document that Trump loves; remember, he is at LEAST centrist and has supported plenty of Dem. policies in the past. However, I DO believe the GOP has a bit of a love affair with the document and I'm inclined to think quite a few voters would love the document as well.

I would be surprised if .00001 percent of Republicans have read the entire document, so "love affair" is way over the top.

Summaries are all over the media. Takes a couple of minutes to read them. But I can't see many people the slightest bit interested in how the policies are going to be enacted, or the possible repurcussions. That's plainly obvious.

It's a trial balloon, trying to find the answer to the question "How far right can we take this?" Kind of like the Christian Nationalist manifesto that Hammster has been pushing.

Inducing more cynicism about the rule of law is exactly the kind of stuff that's in the playbook of an authoritarian leader.
I am not looking at the leadership of the Democratic Party with a cynical eye. I am seeing them with a totally and complete honest opinion that the Democratic Party leadership has indeed weaponized the DOJ against conservatives and also focused their lawfare against a presidential candidate who is the strongest candidate who is going to put American first instead of following the globalism agenda. Donald Trump was the only POTUS within the last 30 years that did NOT commit the USA to a brand new war. On the other hand, the leadership of the Democratic Party has used authoritarian tactics to go against conservatives. In my complete and total honest opinion, the Democratic Party leadership has become an Authoritarian Party.

Any Aussies in this thread? Our ABC is running a 2 part special.

So who saw 4 Corners last night? Project 2025. It's real, it's backed by Big Oil, and it's nasty!
And given Trump's personality - who thinks he would NOT accept another term if it was granted to him?

The democratic party leadership (who are they?)has weaponized the DOJ against conservatives? Is that all of them or just the ones who broke the law? It seems that you are painting a picture with an extremely broad brush.

How? Evidence? Not just assertions? Not just 'opinions' but data I can work with as an Australian trying to understand why so many Americans just 'believe' Trump to be wonderful and innocent when all I see is .... anything but that?
Also - what has Trump not committing to war got to do with whether or not he broke the law of the land in the many legal cases against him? Either he broke the law or he didn't.
Also - what checks and balances are in the American system to stop Project 2025 getting through now that Trump has stacked the Supreme Court?

There are a lot more sources which I could state, @eclipsenow
However, I don't want to derail this thread too much by going too far off of the original topic of this thread.

As for what you have been seeing, as an Australian about Donald Trump, may I suggest that you look at different news sources from all sides of the political aisle? News sources from the centrist and also from the conservative point of view may be helpful for you to understand why millions and millions and millions of Americans are voting for Donald Trump.

I came across an interesting graphic. One source said there were 140 who were involved in Project 2025 who had some part of the Trump administration.

if i had a dime for every time a protestant and a catholic both claimed their agenda was to love GOD with all their heart mind and soul
and yet the version of God or of christ that person was a loving SURE SEEMED to CONTRADICT the one in that bible
i could fly americans to any place they desired .
SO the question now becomes what VERSION of etc , IS WE LOVING .
is it the one who hollers hundred dollars bills yall
or is it the one who holds a dark rainbow high
is it the one who claims all religoins serve the same God .
IF SO , IT AINT GOD , never was or ever shall be GOD .
HERE is who it is , HE who desired to be as GOD . and i think we all know who that one was .
we better BIBLE UP cause i sees me a MASSIVE delusion of a fairy tale love that came of darkness and of men of this world
BEING embraced as though it was of GOD and IT AINT of GOD , IT AINT OF GOD and one more time IT AINT of GOD .
Now do be encouraged . Do be encouraged . but let us return to BIBLE TIME .

That absolutely is the agenda of Jesus, who heads our Church. I also recommend establishing a personal relationship with Jesus through prayer. The Bible is of great benefit, the Catholic way of approaching the Bible is to first say a prayer to the Holy Spirit for discernment.

Very true. I would like to see someone square Matthew 5:38-48 with their political view.

“You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. ' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

and

Matthew 25:40

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me.

What - good, reality-respecting, science respecting objective sources like Fox News? ;):D:D:D
Too funny mate - too funny.

There's an intelligence bell-curve in every nation. Sadly, those on the lower side of the IQ bell curve are often won over by the 10 word sound-bite. Trump knows how to pitch a simplified view of the world to those people.

But anyone who's done something that Mr Trump hasn't done in the last 30 years - like read a book (period! - but in this case I've got to add) about the world, like a little economics, a little geopolitics, a little science - can see where he could turn out to be an absolute catastrophe.

Trump once asked the Chief of Staff of Homeland Defence about building a moat across 2000 miles of the Mexico border and filling it with snakes and reptiles! Now that's just so incredibly .... not smart. (I was going to say another word but the forum algorithm probably wouldn't like it.;) )

The stuff about pulling out of NATO is just suicidal for global order.

Our ABC's flagship current affairs program - "4 Corners" - is running a 2 part special on Project 2025.
We're horrified at what we saw! Gobsmacked!

Part 2 comes out next week. Both parts should be essential viewing for any American to get an overseas view of what is happening in your country.

Just watch 5 to 10 minutes on Anonymous (the guy who leaked to the NYT during Trump's administration) and then they reveal who that was, and the stuff about the moat and NATO.

The subject is Project 2025--there is nothing in the subject about slurring individuals or media groups that don't conform with your political beliefs.
It simply is not Trump's project.

I don't recall the man's name but he dealt with the border and Trump said he's bringing him back and he's involved with the foundation. I think @wing2000 is right. He'll say what he needs to get elected but the plan is in place of that I'm certain.
