Considering by that logic God must have changed his mind about Biden being in charge where does that leave you?
If you look at our emotions since 2020 it took our beliefs to the extreme. From here on out it doesn't matter who is President because the good book tells me so. Things get bad before they get good. So yes in my Christian worldview, God places people in authority and can remove them to meet an end goal. I think the redemption of Israel.

And if God places Trump in office I can see the tension increase exponentially because of Trump's bully attitude. I am afraid with his view of China he might restrict them to a point of hostility. In our arrogance, we're going to pick on two superpowers? Time will tell.

What does that have to do with anything? Considering by that logic God must have changed his mind about Biden being in charge where does that leave you?
I have been very clear in many of my posts and I believe scripture is very clear. In the Old Testament some leaders were chosen and anointed by God and some leaders were allowed to be there for various different reasons sometimes punishment of the people. I’ll let you figure out what position we are in today. God has allowed the some groups to have the leader they clamored for even though it was not Gods best or perfect will. Study your Bible and you will find this to be true. So your question here has no basis in scripture.

That does not sound like the god I have read about in the Bible (KJV1611). God's will is always perfect. I'm surprised you would suggest otherwise. I think it is you who needs to re read their Bible or at least educate me in my error.

What on Earth for?
I added to the post you just quoted. Please read the third paragraph, etc.

Now I can only give you imperfect answers, and no one knows everything about it, including most especially me, etc.

But the one word answer I could give you is pretty simple, and that is "growth", etc.

God Bless.

Yep. God's plan makes allowances for when we screw it up bad. Just ask Adam and Eve about that.

I do think people make a huge mistake when they look for perfection in their leaders. The only perfect man was hung on a cross by his own people.

With the exception of Jesus, who was God in human flesh, I see perfection as the enemy of excellence. That's why God could say a murderer and adulterer was a man after His own heart. I don't listen to anything Trump says, but I love the job he did last time around. I'm looking forward to his next term.
He did a lot of damage. No need to go into it now. Minds are made up.

There is an ineffable quality that God is wanting in us, and that we will come to realize we wanted/needed "more than anything" as well, that can only come by/through going through/experiencing sin and death and evil and suffering, etc. And there is apparently no other way for us to ever have it, or ever get it, etc.

God Bless.

If you are knowledgeable enough of your Bible to tell me I am wrong should you not be responsible for your own Biblical education? Read 1 Samuel 8 and you find one example of a leader allowed by God who was not His choice. You can disagree but I believe Biden is such a leader.

I did have a Christian tell me here that Trump is a messiah. Literally a "messiah anointed by God".
This is exactly what it's all about. This is the delusion I am speaking of.

If someone truly believes that it is delusional it is also delusional to paint all Trump supporters with that broad brush.

God in the OT, or God with Adam and Eve, and who made Adam and Eve, and the Garden of Eden, etc, and was God in the creation, etc, is not God the Heavenly Father Jesus spoke of, or is the God I have mainly been speaking about or talking about here so far in this thread, etc. Those are a Trinity though. Jesus, God in the OT (and in creation) and this Higher/Highest Heavenly God the Father are, etc. Or at least They are according to Jesus, etc. I have mainly been referring to that last One I just mentioned so far in this thread, etc. The only One who has always known absolutely all always from the very beginning, and decided to do it, or make it, or set it all in motion anyway, etc.

God Bless.

This attempted assassination could not have been closer. Another inch and Trump would have been dead. That smacks of Divine Providence but why would God save Trump?

He seems such a divisive figure somebody who would break the current world order jeopardizing the freedoms of countries all over the world. Ukraine and Taiwan are two examples. He is a proven liar, adulterer and fraudster so he has not earned any special grace, so why save the man? What does God want to do here?

Why would the Sovereign Lord permit Trump to survive?
Why did Abraham Lincoln not survive?
Why did Claus von Stauffenberg's attempt on Hitler's life end in failure?

That is the power of unacknowledged theology at work in our lives. We need to be able to challenge our own personal theology. Almost no one wants to do that. Rather dig heels in..

You go down the route of questioning your own beliefs, and you'll lose friends and family in certain parts of the country. Some churches are more doctrinaire than the 19th century Ultramontanists, and there are thousands of them.

I did not say delusional, I said delusion from God. Big difference.
Second Thessalonians 2:11-12
“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Ok.But I see no difference, if one has a strong delusion of any kind I see them as delusional. A distinction without a difference.

Have you seen the still frame pic from the video showing the bullet whizzing by his head? The bullet ripped through his ear . How much closer could it get.

Yes, I have seen the still frame taken by the NYT's photographer (not sure if that is the one you reference).
One can not determine how far the bullet's path was from Trump's body in that picture.
Secondly, you don't know this particular bullet hit Trump at all. (It's actually unlikely, as the still frame appears to show the bullet on a straight, unaltered trajectory but that's just my layman's observation. I'll wait for the ballistics analysis by those who know the subject. Once more, there was more than one bullet.)

You are free to believe or not believe what you wish . I believe it was the hand of God that spared Trump.

I believe facts need to be established.

On that we agree. I've also seen reports that Trump was struck from shards from the teleprompter screen. Or it could have been a bullet. There has, to my knowledge, no official report released to date stating how the the former POTUS was injured.

The actual bullet caught by a NYT photographer. (Doug Mills, a veteran photographer for The New York Times)
