I don't know what I am now, but I don't think I fit into either paradigm anymore.

And I don't think Trump, or any other human being, is all evil, etc. But that "there is always good in there" with all human beings, etc. And I always hold out hope for that no matter what, etc.

But I do plan on praying for Donald Trump a lot, a lot more regularly if he gets elected.

And about fairness, or about how people are treated, or whether they are truly good or bad or not, etc, I think it's all subjective, etc.

Some bring a lot of it on themselves, others do not, etc, it's all beyond my ability to truly judge, and is all also subjective, etc.

You focus too much on just how poorly or badly you were or are mistreated, you lose focus on other things that are much more important, etc. So I try not to focus on those kinds of things, etc. And any future leader that we have should not do that too much either, etc. A victim mentality severely stops/stunts/prevents growth, etc.

So you are say that it's possible that the father who was killed in the cross fire's purpose was to be killed in the cross fire? And does that also mean that the purpose of the of the shooter was to be a Republican then for some reason choose to try to kill Mr Trump, miss and get deleted by Mr Trump's security detail?

Why not just make the shooter's purpose to not shoot anyone and then no one would have to die? Seems very Heath Robinson.

This attempted assassination could not have been closer. Another inch and Trump would have been dead. That smacks of Divine Providence but why would God save Trump?

He seems such a divisive figure somebody who would break the current world order jeopardizing the freedoms of countries all over the world. Ukraine and Taiwan are two examples. He is a proven liar, adulterer and fraudster so he has not earned any special grace, so why save the man? What does God want to do here?

We aren't privy to God's action or in action. Did He "save" Trump? or did he allow this to happen the way it did?

Because of God knowing everything before it happens then we can conclude this ...

All things are subject to God's immediate control. All things happen according to His eternal purpose (and we are not privy of this)

That is ... allowed it to happen as it did ... but a eternal purpose is in it that we are not privy to.

To test His Flock.

There is a faction in Christiandom that have turned away from His Will. Our Father will send a delusion that even some of the elect will fall away into idolatry if they haven't done so already. The more our Father allows Satan to lift up Trump, the more the nation heads towards a Theocratic system with Trump as king and Lord. It has happend over and over throughout history. Only those who do the Will of the Father shall survive such a delusion. The fruit of the Spirit shall live in those who love Jesus Christ of Nazareth. These fruits are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This is how we will know who is In Him.

We know that our Father does not rule through an earthly nation. His Kingdom IS NOT of this world. Let us reason. God's divine providence is a test.

Sorry to be so candid but there is alot at stake, people's souls. This faction must come back to their first Love, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

God is literally showing Trump supporters going to prison, being shot, dying from covid, becoming widows, losing law licenses, losing their families, jobs etc. for this man while Donald continues enjoying freedom from accountability for his actions. It is certainly a test for mortals.

Maybe the families who suffer the most in following Mr Trump are the ones God is leading back to salvation. And it often takes suffering or tragedy to inspire us to make changes that lead us to salvation. Maybe the masses collectively cannot see the delusion but those who have suffered from supporting Mr Trump can be persuaded to come to Jesus. God is always pleased when He finds a lost sheep.

So far I see little evidence of Donald Trump being blessed with any new humility to see. The bible says one who says he has no sin deceives himself, and the truth is not in him. I John 1:8. That is Donald Trump himself. And I fear for those who buy into his deceit.

I have believers (in God) in my own family who still support Mr Trump. We can have great conversations regarding our faith and how God is working in our lives- until someone mentions Donald Trump. Then the Holy Spirit seems to shrink deep inside them and their loving demeanor shifts into defense mode. They have developed a reflexive defensive posture to stand up for this man who has no truth in him. If Trump somehow goes on to win the election again, I'm afraid time will run out for loved ones to come back into the light of God and realize how misled they have become. Time is not on our side.

This always sounds very, very noble, any way it is always put, but it is a child's dream.

The question is easily flipped. Why would God allow this to happen to Trump? Thankfully, he survived and is doing well but Biden wasn't shot at all. Something for which I am also thankful. I don't want to see either Candidate targeted like this.

We can be glad that Trump was only injured without necessarily feeling compelled to vote for him. Likewise, we can be glad that something similar hasn't happened to Biden without necessarily feeling compelled to vote for him either.

When I see an assassination attempt, I am reminded that there is evil in the world. I am glad when people survive unfortunate events, and credit God for their survival, but bad and good things can happen to anyone.

Thats giving him too much credit. He's more just a narcissistic salesman of his own image. His followers tho, many of them, they do tilt toward worship a bit too hard at times. I think people have transferred much of their hope from the divine to the political.

I did have a Christian tell me here that Trump is a messiah. Literally a "messiah anointed by God".

Yep. God's plan makes allowances for when we screw it up bad. Just ask Adam and Eve about that.

I do think people make a huge mistake when they look for perfection in their leaders. The only perfect man was hung on a cross by his own people.

With the exception of Jesus, who was God in human flesh, I see perfection as the enemy of excellence. That's why God could say a murderer and adulterer was a man after His own heart. I don't listen to anything Trump says, but I love the job he did last time around. I'm looking forward to his next term.

I imagine if somebody can do this to him, then they could do it to any of us!

I saw something the other day which makes sense. - If the Secret Service cannot protect a former President from being shot, maybe expecting a teacher of a fourth grade class to protect the students from an active shooter is unrealistic.
