No matter who the shooter turns out to be, I agree the Democrats need to tone it down. Chuck Schumer's words against our Supreme Court justices very well might have incited followers to take violent action. I think saying Trump is a threat to democracy is going too far as well.

What do you call someone who doesn’t appear to believe in our electoral system?

What do you call someone who doesn’t appear to believe in our electoral system?
Or someone who tried to steal an election with fake electors?

Enough with that nonsense.
lol, it’s becoming clearer to me why so many of you guys are tin the bag for Trump - you literally don’t know the half of what went down. You’re at least the third person this evening who’s balked at my pointing this out.

Well said. Comparing Trump to Hitler or saying he is a threat to democracy only made some people go violent. Not ok comments by any means.

The right suddenly caring about the rhetoric surrounding our politics is just the cherry on top. People have been warning about this since Trump became president but only when they see their guy could be a victim of this violent mindset do they think it’s a problem.

Too late for that now.

If trump is elected there will be all kinds of riots and chaos.

Which might be true but it's not the fault of Trump or Republicans...

Maybe the left should put their big boy pants on and experience consequences to actions that hurt people and property.

The threat of violence certainly isn't reason to avoid voting Trump into office... I don't envision many people really thinking "oh no, the left is going to riot if they don't get their way so let's not vote in a way that would anger them"

They act like 2 year olds throwing tantrums... No one does the bidding of 2 year olds, no one even takes them seriously in adult-land.

The hypocrites who think they have halos over their heads always talk a big game and can never do wrong. Never did wrong since 2016 never ever.

And yet it was Trump supporters, not getting what they voted for, storming the Capitol.

And the people who rioted went to jail...

How many people on the left have been jailed for rioting...? Apparently in New York you can riot, take property and people hostage at colleges and not go to prison for it....

The right does believe in the rule of law, and had no issues jailing whoever breaks the law regardless of the political position of the law breaker. Something that can't be said on the opposite side of the aisle..
