To serve his country, Donald Trump should leave the race

Because it is true.
Since you are now a believer in polls, why should Trump drop from the race when the polls shows him beating Biden with over 300 electoral votes? The latest ones project Trump winning with 335 electoral votes!

95% of climate scientists disagree with you. The 5% who don't are employed by oil companies.
While science denial is popular in conservative circles, it is not always deadly. The Supreme Court's recent decision weakening federal agencies' power to regulate corporations who put profits before peoples' safety and our planet's very survival is just more science denial.
you are telling me that over ninety five percent of climate scientist
no longer realize climate has often shifted and changed . No wonder i dont heed them .
There have always been long periods of droughts , and specially bad ones
and hotter climates , then times of cooler climates , then times of hotter again .
IS it any wonder i dont heed them . But hey thanks for letting me know that . Now i surely wont heed a word they say .

I'm not interested in "Pete", not now, not ever.
As a “policy wonk” he’s unsurpassed; very good on his feet, can cobble together a counter-argument on-the-fly. Will never be president, but stay in Executive branch when Democrats hold the WH.
Throwback equivalents: John Kenneth Galbraith, Arthur Schlesinger Jr

He should have thought of that before he committed all those crimes.

You are just not getting what I am saying. Trump will defeat Biden so badly that the only hope for Democrats is to beg Trump to quit.

Now this is a very good question my friend .
What i am saying is all christains should align and agree to HOW GOD views things .
So may i suggest bible reading and prayer for all . I mean in the end
what really mattered , How man viewed things or HOW GOD DID . we ought to
have learned of GOD . Doctrine actually does still matter . How GOD views things actually does
still matter . And beleieve me we got men on both sides of politics that might claim
to KNOW GOD and yet be denying Certain THINGS he did say . So
our top concern should be , IS what i am doing Actually pleasing to GOD
or am i just really pleasing myself and men and thinking i am pleasing to GOD .
Oh how i do thank ya for that question my friend . really , i do , thanks for asking it .
I have several possible worldviews that I keep on the shelf and take down and play with from time to time. Here’s one:
Christianity gets it exactly backwards, we don’t get three-score and ten years to find God and learn to do His Will. Rather we spend eternity with Him and get to “go to Earth” to learn how this “free-will” stuff works.

It’s a fun thought-experiment, though can give rise to unsettling and (frankly unsavory) outcomes, but it can be a good “palate-cleanse” to shake out dogmatic thinking.

let not he boast as one who puts off his armour . THE ELECTION has not yet occured my friend .
Boast not in what is not yet done .
A king once warned another king about this . this other king was boasting as though he had already conquered the other nation
that the battle was already over , as though
THAT KING ended up the LOSER . we cannot boast as one who puts off the armour , cause the battle has been won already .
We got no idea what is and what is to come upon this world . and i said world and not nation
cause they all under a smoke screen my friend . AI is much farther along now than most would dare to dream .
SOmething of all out wickedness cometh and the world will buy it .
Oh wait , i might want to explain about AI . artificial intelligence and how it can ALREADY be used .
Imagine mr oompa loompa this next scenario . and do remember the tech we have right now
THEY themselves are much farther ahead on .
Imagine this very night you are at home and resting peacefully in your house . OH such sweet sleep .
But BAM out of no where you hear the words , DO not resist you have armed men pointing guns at you .
So you , rubbing your eyes , suddenly see your room is full of masked men with guns .
You are put into a van . drove to a facility . delivered into a cell .
NOW DO VISUALIZE THIS my friend .
Oh some hours later , maybe a day or so
they say HEY OOMPA ya wanna see something . AND MAN they all are laughing at you .
You holler i want to see my lawyer , i want to make my call . THEY just laugh the more at you .
And they say HEY oompa you wanna see something .
SO they walk you into another room . THEY turn on the TV
laughing as they do .
YOU SEE THIS .
you see YOU on the screen . a picture of you .
THEN you see the NEWS rolllling out the evenig editoin .
NOW you might be thinking , SEE i am gonna prove my innocence . HOLD that thought
you aint seen what TRUE AI can do .
YOU THEN see you again , only this time you are in a church , or maybe a house
you and other fellows are sitting around passing out ammo and guns .
making threats against the govt and planning to shoot up and blow up stuff .
You are screaming now THAT AINT ME , IT AINT ME
its looks like me , it sounds like me , but it aint me .
ONLY your voice aint never gonna see its day in court . PRO LONGED DENTENTION dude .
Ya got no rights . AI is far more advanced than even most folks realize .
IT can produce an iamge of YOU , sound like you , have you doing things YOU NEVER DID .
Folks got no idea what is about to occur . and dont think the world gonna support you .
THEY GONNA BELIEVE what they see ON THE NEWS my friend . ITS gonna get real bad and soon .

And dont buy into the phrase of dont bite the hand that feeds ya
cause when that power is in place , THEY AINT GONNA FEED YA , they gonna do as they please

I watched that one too . Its not the one i was talking about .

Fair enough.

The rivers in some areas have dried up before and then returned to flow .

And, even more remarkably, they have moved quite a bit. I lived within a few miles of the Missouri River for a few years and, even just looking at the 150ish years of data we had on the course of the river, it was amazing how much the river had changed. For example, while the Missouri River is the border between Iowa and Nebraska, there is an area west of the Missouri that is in Iowa -- a town named Carter Lake which is north of Omaha (and between Omaha and the Omaha airport, which are both in Nebraska) -- because when the border was formed that is where the Missouri River flowed.

There have always been great droughts and climate change .

No one has debated that, least of all climate scientists. The issue is, the climate changes today do not match what has happened historically, with the changes far more extreme than any that occurred historically.

It's even recorded in the bible itself . in history as well .
Climate changes , the patterns do change . we have even had peroids of great cold too .
Climate does shift .

Again, no one debates that. The issue isn't that it is changing it is the extreme amount of change -- change which matches no historical shifts in climate.

Did you know way back in the seventies the same ones were calling for a big ice age .
then its shifted to warming now .

And this is false. There was one person (I hesitate to call him a scientist) who became famous for pushing the idea of an ice age, complete with a show on TV about it. The issue is, his views were not backed by actual climate scientists, who were stating we would have warming issues.

As far as not littering and etc i am all for that part of it .
But this green agenda , it is not what it appears to be at all . Its not really about the care of the planet
its about power and control . They are fear mongering folks as well .
The science they produce is partly hog wash . Like i said anyone who does any real research
into real history would know that generations have experienced these things .

Like any political cause, there are some extremists. This does not describe the consensus of climate scientists, are merely reporting what the science shows, even though there may be some that are more extreme or some who may push different models that are more extreme.

But to leave you with one example -- take the city of Venice, Italy. The city has existed roughly for 2,000 years -- with people living in the area well before that. During that history, despite climate changes, the city has not had major issues with flooding, at least until the last couple of decades. It has gotten so bad that they've now deployed a sea barrier, to protect the city from flooding. The issue is -- and despite not needing the barrier in past centuries -- they now believe that the barrier is not going to be a long term solution, as sea levels continue to rise. Again, Venice is a prime example of how current climate change, with strong evidence that it is "man made," is different from the natural climate changes that have occurred historically (and have never seriously threatened Venice).

you migtht be right concerning that ice age thing . I didnt really research that .
As far as the very GOOD points you make about HOW fast its now occuring . YOU SPOT ON RIGHT about that sister .
ITS MOVING like nothing i ever seen . But THE WHY behind that is not the QUITE THE WHY THE GREEN AGENDA SAYS .
FOR more info on that i suggest we read the bible and SEE WHO IS REALLY in control of the weather .
AND WHY he allows such things . ITS A SIN REASON SISTER . this world has rejected GOD huge
and worse so have many within christendom . this world is reaping and will reap much worse too .
BUT man dear sister HOW RIGHT YOU are about HOW fast its now moving in .............................

Biden had a horrible night Thursday. But the debate about the debate is misplaced. The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump.

"Trump told more than 30 lies during the debate to go with the more than 30,000 mistruths told during his four years as president. He dodged the CNN moderators’ questions, took no responsibility for his actions, and blamed others, mainly Biden, for everything that is wrong in the world."

I concur.
It was an interesting editorial.

But lost in the hand wringing was Donald Trump’s usual bombastic litany of lies, hyperbole, bigotry, ignorance, and fear mongering. His performance demonstrated once again that he is a danger to democracy and unfit for office.
In fact, the debate about the debate is misplaced. The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump.
Trump, 78, has been on the political stage for eight years marked by chaos, corruption, and incivility. Why go back to that?
To build himself up, Trump constantly tears the country down. There is no shining city on the hill. It’s just mourning in America.
Throughout the debate, Trump repeatedly said we are a “failing” country. He called the United States a “third world nation.” He said, “we’re living in hell” and “very close to World War III.”
“People are dying all over the place,” Trump said, later adding “we’re literally an uncivilized country now.”
Trump told more than 30 lies during the debate to go with the more than 30,000 mistruths told during his four years as president. He dodged the CNN moderators’ questions, took no responsibility for his actions, and blamed others, mainly Biden, for everything that is wrong in the world.

The debate served as a reminder of what another four years of Trump would look like. More lies, grievance, narcissism, and hate. Supporters say they like Trump because he says whatever he thinks. But he mainly spews raw sewage....
As president, Trump didn’t read the daily intelligence briefs. He continued to use his personal cell phone, allowing Chinese spies to listen to his calls. During one Oval Office meeting, Trump shared highly classified intelligence with the Russian foreign minister and ambassador.
Trump’s term did plenty of damage and had few accomplishments. The much-hyped wall didn’t get built. Infrastructure week was a recurring joke. Giant tax cuts made the rich richer, while fueling massive deficits for others to pay for years. His support for coal, oil drilling, and withdrawal from the Paris Agreement worsened the growing impact of climate change.

It was a pretty damning editorial.

post birth abortion? An abortion is defined as " the termination of pregnancy by various means, including medical surgery, before the fetus is able to sustain independent life." If a birth is post, then the birth was complete so there was no abortion.
Right. IF the baby was delivered, there can be no abortion.
Gov. Northam was misunderstood - perhaps purposely - by the right. From the article you linked.

Many anti-abortion activists, including Trump, have highlighted this particular comment made in the interview:
"If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen," Northam said. "The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."
But Northam was only addressing what happens in cases where a baby is born with severe deformities and has a low chance of survival. What's often left out of the above quote is what he said immediately before it:
"When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of, obviously, the consent of the mother, with the consent of the physicians -- more than one physician, by the way -- and it's done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that's non-viable."
I have taken care of a baby with no brain. I also worked with a doctor who had a 3 year old that was in an infant seat. He had severe brain deformity. The child slept, pooped and peed. They had to tube feed him as he could not drink enough from a bottle. He rarely opened his eyes, probably had no clue who his parents were, could not crawl as he had little to no control of his limbs. The question will come at some point that if he is sick with pneumonia or other infection, when to stop treatment and let the child go. The parents couldn't deal with it initially.

As a pediatric neurologist, Northam has seen the worst cases. There are hard decisions and not made lightly.

He should have thought of that before he committed all those crimes.

What crimes? Drip by drip all of the cases against Trump are falling apart and the conviction will be overturned on appeal. It is a sad day for those who find comfort and happiness in the persecution of Trump.

Why should Trump leave the race? He was a good President.
Do you even remember his last year? Riots, cities aflame, death and economic destruction? ICUs were packed full and they had to put bodies in refrigerated trucks because the morgues were full to overflowing. Shelves were empty - no toilet paper!! But gas was cheaper that last year.

What case has "fallen apart"? Mostly certain seemingly corrupt judges are trying their darndest to run out the clock with interminable delays.

And "absolute immunity" was always a sick joke.

His state conviction won't be overturned. He will be forever a convicted felon.

It is a sad day for those who find comfort and happiness in the persecution of Trump.
It is a sad day for the rule of law.

One bright spot is that all that immunity Trump had is now Biden's. Now Biden has the right to do pretty much whatever he wants. I am looking forward to Biden proclaiming the Trump is a danger to America and locks him up in Gitmo. Then, he will appointing four more Supreme Court Justices! Send Democratic operatives to all polling places so no rightist try to steal the election again. All this malarkey pulled by republicans for last seven years will now come back at them three fold.

It's going to be wild!
