One of the reasons I enjoy geology so much is the study of rocks. And one of the reasons I enjoy the science associated with geology is the deepening of insight into those rocks that I would not otherwise have. Something I've found with the addition the window that the science of geology has opened up is that I walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Earth and how it evolved over time.

I'd like to make a slight correction please. Where the world you live in is only 5995 years old, the world I and many others live in is 4.5 Billion years old. That's what the Earth itSelf is telling us. So please, do not include me into the "we".

IF you only knew that you set yourself up. I live in the civilized world. It would appear that you live in an uncivilized world.

Not everyone knows that civilization has ONLY been around for 5995 years and that is the age or era we live in. The weird thing is the Bible well say the end of time when it is ONLY the end of an age or an era and the beginning of a new era.

I do not know if the return of Jesus is literal or symbolic. I have been to a lot of churches that say he will come for His Bride at the beginning of a 7 year trib and return with His bride at the end of the years. But there is not much in the Bible to back a lot of that up. I even ended up leaving the Bible school over this issue. I tend to believe in a secret rapture and I do not plan to live beyond that year if I even live that long. I think people will wonder was this the rapture, did I get left behind? But they will not know for sure. People will argue and debate it just like they do now.

Acts 2 18 Even on My menservants and maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious Day of the Lord.

The fact that apophis passes over on passover that years and them comes back 7 years later makes me really wonder. The Bible talks about the tidal waves and the destruction from that. NASA claims it is not going to hit the earth but I think they just do not want to panic people.
