I'm not talking about approaching God.

I'm talking about explaining God to others.

I'm not talking about approaching God.

Using the Bible.

You know ... that Book that someone here described as not containing logic, if taken as I take It?

Yes.

Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

That's not what I'm talking about though.

But to use the Bible as one's Standard for faith and practice, and to ultimately be judged by It, is a vital necessity for what is called "progressive sanctification."
Progressive Sanctification is a Baptist notion I don't know much about. Do you mean by it the Salvation by Precision of Doctrine you are preaching here?

When we are in love we don't care.

None whatever. That's not what religion is for. Religion is for the experience of it.

It's a ritual high. All religions do it. Buddhists meditate, Sufis whirl around in a circle. Western religions, especially Liturgical Christians favor a kind of theatrical performance to induce a heightened emotional state. If you don't get buzzed at church you're going to the wrong one. The nature of objective reality is irrelevant, as it is not being inquired into and will still be there after the service is over.
Romantic love western style isn't a thing in China.
Probably the "don't care" or " love is blind" is why.

When love does grow with time and mutual trust
there's no " blind".

But that's a diff topic.

Regarding the " high" or transcendent state you
speak of, we are, i think, seekers of transcendence
in our divers ways and extent.

Of course there's value in it. Sitting out to watch
sunrise over the S. China Sea is so special for me.

Drunks and drug addicts are seeking transcendence
but of course overdoing it.

Beyond some point pursuing the spiritual refreshment of
transcendence is self destructive

While it's widely praised and held up as terrif
examples I think extremes are, like drug use,
nothing but self indulgence.

We teach three stages of sanctification:

Stage One = Initial Sanctification = set apart as a child of God = occurs at the moment of salvation

Stage Two = Progressive Sanctification = growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Chirst

Stage Three = Final or Complete Sanctification = given white robes, etc

What part does precision of doctrine play in that?

It's that effective, huh?

Guess I got my money's worth then, didn't I?

No, that does not mean it's effective at all. It just means you saying it has lost all meaning from you.

I never heard that term before, but after Googling it, it looks like it is another term for progressive sanctification.

I have a feeling it didn't have any meaning in the first place.

But I guarantee you, you'd better respect that meaning when it comes time for the final exam.

You know?

Exam week and all?

When students cram their brains, in order to put the right answer on paper?

I hadn't either, as a "term." I just used it ad hoc to describe what you seem to believe. Now that I have googled it, too, I see that I was right. Very interesting, not a school of Christian thought I know very much about.

I have to watch myself when I make up terms to use, so I'm not using something that has another definition.

Neologisms are getting rare. ;)

Do you even care?

Yes.

I don't ever want to get to this point:

1 Corinthians 9:27b ... lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Yes.

I don't ever want to get to this point:

I'm pretty sure that Corinthians 9, which is about Paul's right to be an apostle, not your Don Quixote style crusade against evolution and academia, says much more than you think it does.

The sentiment is the same.
