From the Tustin, CA police department: (noting the agent did engage with his weapon, but apparently the suspect fled anyway).

On Saturday, June 15, 2024 at approximately 9:36 p.m., Tustin Police Officers responded to a call of a possible robbery that just occurred at the Tustin Fields I residential community. On arrival, officers discovered the victim was a member of the U.S. Secret Service and his bag was stolen at gunpoint. During the incident an officer(agent) involved shooting occurred. The suspect(s) were not located and it is unknown at this time whether the suspect(s) were injured as a result of the incident. Officers have located some of the victim’s belongings in the area and the incident is still being investigated. There is no known threat to the public.
A 2004-2006 silver Infiniti FX35 or vehicle similar was seen leaving the scene. The suspect vehicle is pictured below.

As an aside, this happened in one of the reddest counties in the state.

An armed Federal agent isn't safe and he has taken the guns from the good guys.

Apparently you missed that he was the good guy with a gun and that wasn’t enough to magically prevent the crime.

...a good guy who is well trained on the use of that gun. But, you know, those California criminals are so much more dangerous than say Oklahoma City criminals.

Alas, I don't think the agent was on duty and was proabably caught off guard. The police report noted it took place in a residential area in Tustin, CA. (Note, at the the time, Biden was nearly 1 hour away at the Peacock Theatre in L.A. ).

Oh good, Biden has an alibi. I thought for sure someone was going to accuse him of robbing the agent.
