Yes, I've had enough of the Trump delusion. I like Christian Forums and would love to continue enjoying these forums. If we can't weed out some nonsense I will have to leave. This is my motivation. Nobody is a doormat unless they choose to be. If you insist on the incessant rambling I will likely call it out again. It's how the good Lord made me. Whinge all you like. Have a good day.
See I knew you needed to vent. No more Whinge from me. Pour it on.

I agree Trump will save America in a lot less time, but we still want at least a 12 year Trump presidency.

Why pray tell is our democratic republic not good enough for you? Why do you want to rid the world any of the freedoms for which we fought for so long and so hard? It boggles the mind.

Someone posted lots of points made by a Harvard law professor who was in the courtroom during the trial, and the response was basically 'lies all lies'.

I'll post more knowing it will automatically be rejected.
Speaking of which... Dersh opens his statement to the anchor by telling us that he had determined the case was rigged against Trump before anything substantive happened.

Trump's going to save the republic the dems and libs are taking down the drain. For some reason everything being unaffordable, rampant crime, rampant homelessness, rampant drug addiction, and all the weird stuff aimed at little kids etc just isn't appealing to us any longer.

Dershowitz was actually there with a front row seat where was your seat? I was inside the court when the judge closed the Trump trial, what I saw shocked me: Alan Dershowitz Trump should have had a change of venue at the very least. Your opinion of Dershowitz is worthless because of your bias . He was there you were not, he has 60 years experience in the law, you do not, he is professor of law, you are not. What you have in common is neither of you like or support Trump, but Dershowitz is a defender of the constitution. I do not find that quality in your posts. You are out of your league calling Dershowitz a liar.

He blatantly lied about jury selection procedure. One does not need to be in the court to know that. My assessment wasn't about his judgement about the questions asked or the use of dismissal for cause, but a blatantly false claim that the prosecutor and judge "picked the jury". It was the prosecutors and Trump's attorneys that picked that jury under the judge's supervision. Dersh lied.

Here is another perspective may be this one. He is an eyewitness to what was happening in the courtroom when the press was cleared out:

If he stayed when everyone in the public including the press was removed, Dersh wasn't a member of the public or media. He was there as an invited ally of Trump, like the MAGA politicians and his family. How can we view his opinions on the "validity" of the trial and process as anything *but* as a committed Trump ally.

No. That is incorrect. If Mr Trump has a 12 year presidency (lol) the United States is not the democratic republic any longer. I know I'm chasing the wind here so I'm done.

Right only Trump haters have any credibility.

If it’s not overturned on the appeals it will go to the Supreme Court and I will accept their decision.
Why would it go to SCOTUS? Wouldn't the NY SC have final say on NY law? It would only go to SCOTUS if there is a constitutional question involved would it not?

I take issue with this phrase. I see it used frequently to bypass any discussion of direct points. Instead of engaging the point the person is labeled "Trump hater" and dismissed out of hand.

Neither I nor Trump are likely to live twelve more years, but I hope I live long enough to see you get what you deserve. MAGA!

The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. Ecclesiastes 10:2

This verse is appended to all Ceillaigh's posts, so I went to my King James Bible (always at hand when I post on CF!).

Here are the verses that follow, for anybody interested:
3. Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool.
4. If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
5. There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler;
6. Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in a low place.

The verses turn out to be more apposite to this debate than I expected, so my thanks to Ceillaigh for bringing them to my attention. (But who is 'the ruler' in the current context?)

What about verse 1? Here it is:
1. Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so does a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.

It's a perfectly reasonable counter to what I was responding to.

I think he'll turn out like 93 year old junk food eating business mogul Warren Buffett who's still going strong.
