Hello again Dan (@Dan Perez), when the Lord gently chided Nicodemus (as "the teacher of Israel") for not knowing what being "born again" meant (see John 3:3-10), I believe that it was to those very verses in Ezekiel (Ezekiel 36:25-27, that is) that He was referring (and thereby reminding Nicodemus of).

Since salvation cannot happen for anyone (Jew or Gentile) apart from being "born again", I believe that those verses necessarily refer to all of us, not to Jews alone.

And I said many times that the NEW COVENANT is forever explained in Eze 36:25-38 !!

And in Eze 37-14 , explains when Israel is BORN AGAIN .

The literal translation is as follows -

Hi Dan, I know of Dr. Brock (others have quoted him at length here at CF, and I've seen some of what he teaches online). I'll have to take a closer look at what he has to say now. In fact, from what I've seen, he seems prominent enough to warrant his own Wikipedia page, but oddly, no one has created one about him yet?

As far as the first person saved following the Resurrection, I always thought that it was the Apostle John ("the other disciple", IOW .. see John 20:8) who was the very first to see and believe?

Since the above broaches the topic of OT salvation I'll go ahead and ask, if you believe that Paul was the first to be saved by the grace of God, how were all of the OT saints, such as Abraham, saved .. cf Genesis 15:6? For that matter, how were the Lord's Apostles, the ones (save Judas, of course) who preceded the Apostle Paul, saved?

Many believe that salvation begins after their Water Baptism ?

Others believe that they can work their salvation out , by keeping the Law of Moses ?

Others says they can work out their salvation as they say , that they were saved by the NEW COVEANAT ?

So how do you WORK out your SALVATION , TODAY ?

I don't teach at 79 and I no longer pop scriptures off the top of my head. Seeing as we are interacting over the internet I expect folks to tap into the web for specifics... they are easy to find. I have been working out my salvation since 1,1,'90 by following the leading of Ruah/the Holy Spirit.

I am taught and believe that "work out your salvation" refers to our minds being renewed. Our Spirit is sealed and already saved, it is our down payment. Our salvation though sealed needs help for us to walk in grace during our time on earth. Much of this help comes from the renewing of our mind and we have to work it out not for going to heaven but for performing God's will while on earth. That through the word we can obtain a better life now. Lastly, in the future, our faith will bring us a glorified body. We only have to wait for it, there is nothing we can do other than get the mind to agree with our born again spirit.

And the WORKS I am talking about are feeding the hungry, caring for the sick and poor, and those things Jesus commanded us to do. He even gave us a vision of the day of judgement so we would know why some are condemned and some are welcomed into paradise.

Paul was entrusted to deliver the gospel to the uncircumcised, i.e., gentiles, while Peter delivered the gospel to the circumcized, the Jews. Note that it is the same gospel. All of the Apostles had both Jews and gentiles in the Churches they established.

Ouch! I hate saying this because it can be taken as being a Smart ***. Until they were sent the Helper, the scriptures show all of them failing. Only after Yashua ascended and the Spirit indwelt them did they know and then they were being taught bt Ruah.

And I believe that I have a good Prima facie and Description and Conclusion .

# 1 Israel is first Sprinkled with clean WATER and should remind all of water baptism , given to Israel in John 1:31 and not given to Gentiles , EVER !!

# 2 And in Eze 36:26 given a NEW HEART .

# 3 Given a NEW SPIRIT

# 4 And n take away the STONY HEART

# 5 And give Israel a HEART of FLESH .

#6 In verse 27 , Cause you to walk in my STATUTES

One way that anyone is following what the Bible says , is in 1 Cor 11:1 is to become IMITATORS of Me ( meaning Paul our apostle ) just as I also am of Christ .

And also 2 Tim 2:15 to rightly dividing the word of TRUTH .

Jesus set the example for us to follow. We should seek to be like Him. This is the theme of the book: "What would Jesus do". A lot of people are doing things for money that Jesus would never do.

I attended Grace Church. We are saved because the Grace of God does a work in us to save us.
