One is used to treat cancer and the other is essentially permanent cosmetic surgery. Minors aren’t mature enough to know if they truly are “transgender” or not.
The thing with comparing transgenderism to cancer is it suggests that transgenderism should be treated with something like chemo to irradicate it.

The two aren’t even related and I find that analogy incredibly offensive.

You would think calling it a cancer isn't something those in support of it would go with, but I see the analogy all the time.

This is specifically transing children through chemicals and surgery, which has a much larger variance of people against it. I've even heard people in the gay community speaking out against it.
Yet the people I'm discussing this with are the exact same crowd of people opposed to gay rights.

I don't think you are qualified to provide medical diagnoses.
The entry in the DSM for someone "feeling Asian" (when they're clearly not) would probably be entered under delusional disorders. Commenting on your post: "Let us know when the DSM gets an entry for "feeling Asian" doesn't resemble a medical diagnosis by any stretch of the imagination.

You usually say I think we're done here when your augments start faltering.

No it's a lot larger demographic than that, including those who support gay rights and even those who are lgbtq.

Maybe the condition would be best treated by what seems to work to alleviate “symptoms”?

Cancer is “Our own DNA going ‘wrong’”; perhaps transgender people have wonky DNA too?

I've never heard of it being classified as a DNA issue. The science for it doesn't seem to go any further than someone having certain feelings.

Perhaps. I’m no doctor. I don’t think they are comparable, in my opinion.

So let us allow the medical professionals determine the “best way forward”?

Of course sex isn't assigned by doctors, everyone knows that - even those who advocate otherwise. They just want to redefine the way we see reality by implanting a societal notion we can disregards natural order for the sake of acceptance. Control of society by shame, guilt and intimidation. Redefine science by redefining the societal understanding of science. XX and XY don't play a role as long as one chooses to believe they are not their gender at birth. That sex and gender are different. Not just synonyms of the other. Just like how the Church use to define an Earth centric universe in opposition to the Helios centric one.
Absolutely. The left will tell us sex and gender are completely separate things and one doesn't have anything to do with another. Then they use "sex assigned at birth". What they are saying is you are not born with a biological sex, but instead a doctor assigns it to you. Why do they use that terminology? It's because they want to leave the door open for the doctor to have made a mistake. That later you may decide that you were born the opposite sex because of your gender. Because gender decides your sex not biology. Well if that's the case then how is it that gender has nothing to do with sex? It's just another one of those non-sensical claims by the believers.

When one weds themselves to progressive liberalism, they're compelled to support anything progressive liberalism says to support, no matter what it is or how crazy it is.
Yes and they flip flop like a fish out of water. I believe someone would call it building a house on sand.
