CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think that Biden will have to agree to do at least 2 of the normal kind of presidential debates that we usually see every 4 years.

He certainly wouldn't want to give his competitors a platform from which to challenge him, right? There's NEVER a point in arguing with Trump.
I'm not sure that's a healthy attitude to have in a political party: No point about hearing from other candidates?

No I mean, he didn't need to waste his time. What negative fallout happened for Trump after he refused to debate on TV? He was going to be the R candidate regardless.

If I remember correctly, the last time they had canceled one of their debates
-because of Trump’s Covid diagnosis.
I think a better question is if Trump will take better care of himself this year so he doesn’t miss any more of these all important debates that will potentially sway absolutely no one.

Unfortunately, there are probably millions of low information voters in America whom have not been paying enough attention. Also, there are still millions of undecided voters IMO

And yet Trump is the only one who had to avoid a debate due to his poor health. Hopefully grandpa is taking better care of himself this year so he won’t have to miss any more debates.
