This is just crazy --what was she thinking?

I have no idea what she was thinking. But a stunt like that shows total disrespect to the Bible.

Well my jaw just hit the floor!

Even the Muslims in the comment section say they would never kick the Bible

She is a pastor!

This is literally one of the most horrifying things I think I've ever seen...

The video doesn't really provide any context, but was this just a case where it was a "creative" way to give a "novelty" bible to someone in the audience (sort of like at sporting events when they bust out the shirt cannon?
I think what was supposed to happen was the other pastor would catch it and then use that to start off his sermon.

There does not appear to be any worshipping of the Bible in this thread. Instead, what I see are posters who are respectful towards the Bible.

Hmmm….bible worship going on here in this thread. Not a good thing.

No... Just horrified.

First, they are dressing this up like those big cooking competition shows on television.

Christians mimic Hollywood why again? Where's that in Scriptures?

I mean seriously, this is the respect people give to God who describes Himself as Holy Holy Holy!!!?

You understand semitic language right? How people talk? Anytime something is repeated it's for emphasis... God places not just emphasis, but extra extra emphasis on His Holiness. It's the only one of His attributes that God did this with.

As for kicking the Bible it's the very words of God, every single word in the Bible. Out of respect for God we treat His words with respect.

God is worthy of worship. God is the only being who is worthy... Because He alone is Holy, Holy, Holy.

I consider what I just saw to be people mocking God - at best!

This is stupid, just like so much of American Christianity. Dallas Theological Seminary American Christianity is a joke, therefore, kicking the bible is very American. They should have a raffle, or a sale, or a bible kicking. Who cares what American Christians say or do? it all amounts to Trump. American Christianity = kicking bibles = Trump.

Having respect for the written word of God doesn’t make it “Bible worship.”

This has nothing to do with Trump. Why even bring him up?

Why bring him up? Trump would not exists without American Christianity. Trump is as absurd as kicking bibles. The conclusion follows.

I’m so confused.

American Christianity has existed before Trump and will be here long after Trump is gone.

Christianity did not create Trump.

I am sure you are confused. Trump is not your savior, Riley. Gosh, he isn't even good. Oh yeah, kicking bibles doesn't mean a thing; it's just more American nonsense. Kicking bibles, voting for Trump, it all comes from the same place. None of it has anything to do with Christ, and never has, but it is all American. It is very American. Too many American Christians cannot differentiate between their faith and their country. It's not very spiritual, but it is true..

An Evangelical megachurch in Ohio kicked off Super Bowl weekend — literally — with a sermon that had all of social media buzzing.

Pastors with Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, a multi-site interdenominational church that boasts a weekly congregation of roughly 34,000, “punted” a copy of the Bible as part of its “Super Bowl of Preaching” series.

The sermon was delivered on Feb. 11, just hours before the Kansas City Chiefs topped the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

With play-by-play announcers, color commentary, a referee, and a stage covered in AstroTurf, the Crossroads pulpit resembled Allegiant Stadium more than any church on Sunday morning as Senior Pastor Brian Tome and Pastor Alli Patterson sported football jerseys as they took the stage for the “pregame” coin flip.
