I don't have to convince anyone. The world can see it for themselves. When you deny food, water, medical supplies for 2.5 million people what do you call it?
You do know that these supplies have come and Hamas stole them right?

Well if you can't handle the boys running around in black pajamas and AK's, do you really think you can handle a direct conflict with Russia, China, or Iran? Wishful thinking for sure with this woke stress card carrying military we have today.
You do realize we defeated the Taliban right? Yes they came back and the Afghan military couldn't handle them. We didn't fight them again and left. Why should we stay when we handed the Afghan people a new country and they couldn't keep it?

We didn't do what was necessary to defeat the Taliban for good that's true. But that was a political decision and not a military one. We pushed the Taliban out militarily. Our military did its job. It was the politics that failed.

The Banderittes and all their Nazi supporters have no economy. Russia seems to be doing quite well. I support Russia and their war against this Nazi scum. Of course right now it is just a special military operation but when the real war starts these Nazi's and their supporters will face the real power of the Russian Federation.
Like Ukraine is?

The Taliban was not defeated and they never left Afghanistan. Also, the number of attacks carried out by the Taliban in Afghanistan increased the entire time we were in Afghanistan. There were more terrorist attacks carried out by the Taliban in 2020 alone than there were in the first 10 years of the war.

“These rockets, it’s like they’re made to destroy mountains, not people,” said Mohamed Abu Shaah, who had taken shelter at an acquaintance’s house in Al Maghazi with his wife and seven daughters. In Al Maghazi, he said, the influx of the newly displaced meant that 20 people were routinely crowding into a single room to sleep at night.

Improper munition said cause of high death toll in strike on Gaza’s Maghazi

An Israeli strike that killed dozens of people in the Maghazi camp in the center of the Gaza Strip earlier this week was carried out using improper ordnance, a military official tells the Kan public broadcaster, with the military appearing to take responsibility for the strike.

The thoughtful balancing of opinions, the well presented arguments, the nuance, the subtlety...I'm sure that will appear in due course.

Yeah that's because we quit the war and was trying to build the country and their military. We drove the Taliban pretty much out and then begged off. We quit fighting for the most part and settled in for other things. Not saying we quit altogether but we left the offensive to go another route. Again like I mentioned before we didn't have the political will to do what was necessary. Quite frankly we shouldn't have bothered at all.

Part of what would have been neccessary was invade Pakistan (a country with nuclear weapons), which was offering refuge to Taliban fighters.

"What I can say with a really high degree of certainty is that it wasn't a few cases. It wasn't here and there, or only on one occasion," said Hadas Ziv, the director of ethics and policy at the nonprofit Physicians for Human Rights Israel, for a piece by The New Yorker.

Russia is only "doing well" if you only read Russian propaganda sites.
Or not so well by your own propaganda. Our sanctions hurt the rest of the world more than Russia. Russia has been preparing (maybe 2014) for sanctions and I Imagin China is doing the same by offloading treasuries and buying gold. Russia is a big commodity exporter which has kept them afloat, even the US is still buying oil from Russia, the lunacy. Where I see they might be in trouble in the future is things built with western tech. Not sure if they have the know how to fix these items.
"Of course, anyone wishing to see a silver lining to Russia’s current economic situation can do so. High inflation in the United States and the corresponding growth in interest rates there has hit the value of U.S. banks’ bond portfolios, and the March collapse of three U.S. banks sent markets into a spin, prompting talk of “echoes of the global crisis” among analysts. Meanwhile, the Russian economy—safely isolated from the global financial markets by sanctions—escaped unscathed."

More than 80 children killed in West Bank since Oct. 7, UNICEF says

Eighty-three children have been killed in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the past three months — double the number for the whole of 2022, the agency’s regional director Adele Khodr said in a statementThursday. More than 576 have been wounded, she added.
“As the world watches on in horror at the situation in the Gaza Strip, children in the West Bank are experiencing a nightmare of their own,” Khodr said.

I was replying to comments and claims about Russia's military progress and the restriction of Ukrainian exports of grain. I wrote nothing about sanctions on Russia in either direction. (And the retreat of Russia from the western Black Sea is well reported and sourced and not propaganda.)

Russian sanctions are hardly on topic in the "hamas war" thread, but Russia's involvement with the parties and secondary parties in the war is. (Of the above, only the grain export issue is really relevant as exports of grains go to many regional players surrounding this war.)

Jerusalem's deputy mayor, when questioned about the siege of the Holy Family RC Church in Gaza, firstly denied there were any churches in Gaza then said there were no Christians in Gaza since they had all been driven out by Hamas. Both statements are untrue. Was she lying or ignorant? If ignorant, shouldn't she be better prepared for a media interview?

Will Israel's war on Christians in Gaza be extended to Christians in the West Bank?

From what I have heard many Christians have fled quite some time ago, before all this. Chile, Philipines etc. in other words they were in fear for their lives, as well as persecuted. And left years ago.

If you listen to the first video you will discover that the US state department disagrees with you (first 6 minutes) that 's the "Hamas run US state department". The polling evidence cited in the video contradicts your assertion: economics being the main cause.

You don't seem too bothered about a senior Israeli politician stating definite untruths. Actually I doubt she is so ignorant to think there are no churches in Gaza given she immediately has her fall back "well they've all been driven out by Hamas". If there were no churches there wouldn't be any to be driven out. But do you think it's ok if you passionately believe in a cause to state deliberate untruths in support of that cause?

Also I don't hold with the idea that Muslims are second class, or maybe third class, humans i.e. that it's more tolerable to murder Muslims than it is to murder Christians.

Hmm the report says that Israeli forces not Hamas have been doing the killing

A separate report from the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights published Wednesday found that at least 300 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since Oct. 7, most of them in incidents involving Israeli security forces.
