What did he show you?

Various things in various times of my life.

I'll share one.

I used to work for a small business. I was under the impression that a particular co-worker was spying on me and making false reports back to the boss. I asked God if it was that one co-worker that I thought it was. It was not the suspected one, but someone else.

I'm thankful for sleep. Wish I had more of it.

Sleep is my new drug of choice.
My Bed is my Dealer.
The Police is the Alarm Clock.

I'm thankful our son is healing physically/emotionally/psychologically and spiritually.
I'm thankful I have the program I need to attempt to make my story into a screenplay.
I'm thankful my wife continues to heal from cancer.
I'm thankful I found this forum.

With young people today designating themselves as authorities on what is good for old folks you'll be lucky to be allowed to even sleep, unless of course to take the big sleep so the young can inherit sooner.

My alarm clock is terrifying! I wake up every morning scared. lol

My old alarm clock used to make me cranky when I woke up. There are studies showing that alarm sounds set your mood.

I ended up getting a new alarm clock that has nature sounds.

I used an Alarm clock for many years. I still have several of them, lol. But I stopped useing them after awhile. Because I started telling myself before bed that I will wake up at 5:00 or I will wake up at 6:00 or whatever, before the alarm clock even goes on. I've always woke up early and my body is used to it.

Try that and see if you can make yourself wake up at a predetermined time. That would be interesting to see if it works for others also. It didn't work 100% of the time, if I was especially tired there were times when I did just keep on sleeping until the alarm. I think it's more just an act of the will rather than saying it or something like that.

Me too. I have a cat that is ever so gentle at creeping close and barely poking at me with his paw. He even has a snooze feature in getting dropped off the bed until I eventually give in.

Multiple times I have been thankful that God Himself was nice enough to tell me that Jesus was the way into heaven, not good works, when I was 10 years old.

Because no adult was ever going to tell me that. Not my mom, not my dad, not the church. Nobody.
