A letter was in the enclosed packaging from Ann Christianson, a social studies teacher and coordinator of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Jane Addams Middle School in Seattle.

If this was something that came out of student activities within GSA, then I don't see any problem (or forcing).

If this was something done as an in-class assignment (with only one theme) then there would likely be a problem.

Isn’t it “the Liberty” to continue to hate the people we were used to alllowed to hate becuase we’ve always done so, so why CHANGE THAT?

MFL hardly stands alone in opposing the ever growing LGBTQetc+ curriculum in schools. And those who approve of it, wouldn't be defending the public school system having kids write cards that said things like "keep the LGBTQ agenda out of our school". So it's not a both sides two way street defence of freedom of speech. That was clearly demonstrated in the incident of a 12 year old student who was forbidden to wear a shirt that said "there are two genders".
