Indeed, your study concedes that most studies on the topic are underpowered and not statistically significant. Genetically modified stuttering mice aside, this study taken with "someone's uncle stutters" is not "proof" of anything, regardless of what some random "expert" says on the Internet.

Fact is, Biden has been afflicted with stuttering since childhood and was bullied for it. So he's used to it, and since most Americans think it's despicable to make fun of stuttering, I'm astonished that some republicans would suggest it's some kind of equivalency to Donald Trump's ongoing mental difficulties. Most people aren't that gullible.

The research has identified a number of genes that cause the disorder. The data indicate that impeded movement of packets of chemicals within cells is critical to stuttering. "Intracellular" refers to processes within a cell and "trafficking" has to do with movement of chemicals in the cell.
