I'm sure we all recall the trans shooter of a Tennessee private Christian school.

Not difficult to see why the media suppressed this...and the administration. It's filled with the far left hatred of whites and their privilege...a combination the mainstream media had pumped into the face of the public for years now.

Thoughts?

All this stuff makes me want to move to Germany, as they have strict laws regarding weapon ownership. But yeah, seems like anybody, regardless of political party has used guns for evil. I am bi and Christian (not trans, and don't support their movement, but not gonna judge), and feel that if people can go out left and right and hurt anyone cos of differing opinion, the US is screwed big time. Just look at how some folks hurt black people, or how some folks harassed Asians during 2020. Or, how the Chinese locked up Muslims in internment camps. It is all because of a power difference and evil. So, to prevent these things from happening, we must reduce these power differences (eg. banning most weapons).

The far right media suppressed certain types of news, just as the far-left media suppresses news. The best thing to do is to read through multiple newspapers, from the left, middle and right of the line. Not gonna say here for ethical reasons, but there is a way to block ads on online newspapers, and also avoid subscription fees for most mainstream news sites, as a few papers are run by billionaires.

A couple other articles on the matter...

Sounds like the police aren't sure who divulged the documents to Crowder, but the fact that they're investigating it as opposed to dismissing it as fake leads me to believe that he somehow got his hands on the "real-deal"... clearly he knows someone on the inside (or one of his employees do).

None the less, I think the response to the leak highlights a bit of a double standard with regards to attitudes on when it's okay to publicize a manifesto.

Many of the people saying it's irresponsible to release this one didn't seem to have as big an issue with when certain details were released about the manifestos of the likes of Dylan Roof and the Buffalo shooter...yet, when it involves shooters who don't prop up a convenient narrative, it all the sudden turns into "well, we wouldn't want to inspire copycats, so best not to talk about it"

Uh huh.

Just look at how some folks hurt black people, or how some folks harassed Asians during 2020.

True.

Or, how the Chinese locked up Muslims in internment camps.

I think they eradicated uighurs...but if you're going to get technical, they don't really have rights there to begin with. It's a hazard all must deal with in China.

It is all because of a power difference and evil.

Well any violence is predicated upon a power difference. We don't feel sorry for a man hit by a little girl because we don't imagine that she'd be capable of harming him...yet reversed, we feel sorry for a little girl hit by a man.

So, to prevent these things from happening, we must reduce these power differences (eg. banning most weapons).

I disagree. A truck is a weapon in the hands of someone who wants to kill.

That said, I'd be amenable to limits upon weapons made for killing...but that's a matter of practicality, not really what I see either party pursuing.

The far right media suppressed certain types of news, just as the far-left media suppresses news.

Yeah, but this one was fishy from the start. They don't hesitate to tell what was in some manifesto if the shooter was a white man killing black people....

But for some reason we knew there was a manifesto here...but it's contents weren't things summarized for public consumption.

It's not hard to imagine why. Google "white privilege" and you're going to get more news articles than I could ever hope to count saying lesser versions of what this "trans person" clearly believed.

The best thing to do is to read through multiple newspapers, from the left, middle and right of the line.

I agree...and would add that one should resist the tendency to conclude something because it's emotionally satisfying.

I don't fully understand what would be unethical about that but to each his own.

Well, trucks can be used as weapons, as in what happened in July 2016 in France, but banning assault rifles and non-hunting related guns would be a start. Yes, there may be white privilege, but still, no excuse for shootings regardless of race. Uighur people should have rights, and shouldn't be killed or locked up in camps. China is a xenophobic land, it seems.

Yeah and I wonder how long he held onto this little tidbit. Was he saving it for a rainy day perhaps?

It seems unlikely that was just sitting out anywhere people could find it.

I'm 100% in favor of leaking them.

If it's to be shared with the media at all...it should be shared in full.

Otherwise we end up with these summaries that may or may not reflect what was an actual motive. I don't really care or trust the media to represent these things correctly.

Yeah...and the Buffalo shooter is probably the best example of what I mean. Racist? No doubt. White Supremacist? Probably.

Yet if it's important that these details be kept from inspiring copycats....why share them? Political convenience.

Most mass shootings are done with pistols.

I watched a video clip from Sweden the other day. A man of Arab descent was climbing a ladder with a machete to murder his ex (who lived there) and rape her mother. The father who was trying to defend his family from the man, was doing so with a broom...and failing. I couldn't help but think this was the ideal time to have a gun handy and I wouldn't ever have such a problem as this unfortunate Swede.

Yes, there may be white privilege, but still, no excuse for shootings regardless of race.

White privilege has been thrown into the dustbin of convenient excuses for racism imo. It's loudest advocates have largely been exposed as frauds and idiots. The reality is that people of color, black people, non-whites or however you wish to refer to them enjoy more peace and prosperity in majority white nations than nations where they are the majority.

It seems unlikely if the whole point of our nation was the benefit of whites over all else.

You're welcome. Yeah, a gun could have helped, but a taser or pepper spray could have worked also. And yes, black folks have it way better in the US compared to Subsaharan Africa, but there is a long way to go. It isn't so much white privilege, but more classism brought on by wealth gaps.

What was leaked are photos of 3 pages of a much larger work. It appears the photos were taken of the open notebooks inside the criminal's car during the on site post shooting investigation.

All you're going to get is a summation and speculation based on a small segment.

In this event, it couldn't have fallen into more untrustworthy hands.

I'm not going to argue against that. I saw the video...he seemed rather determined (he brought a ladder)...but tasers are imperfect and sometimes lethal themselves (police shouldn't use one someone on a ladder) and pepper spray can be fought through.

It's a situation which calls for lethal force. The man (I suspect) came from one of those cultures that doesn't gracefully accept rejection from women (think acid in the face) and decided to go whatever route he could (acid being harder to come by in throwable quantities in certain nations).

It's a situation where it's better to have a gun than not.

Sure...owning a gun can lead to death by a gun...just like owning a pool or car.

Yet even when the issue is suicide you never hear anyone say we need to start selling medications in quantities you can't kill yourself with and I wouldn't be surprised if they were the cause of more suicide than guns.

Well, at least it looks like we're safe from the rise of violent possibly Christophobic trans terrorism.

I agree that future trans mass shooters are still unlikely.

It's not really the issue though.

There was a lot of speculation that this had to do with "anti-trans" legislation in the state...and that could have been avoided by a short summary of "no...this person just was a vile racist towards white people".

Of course, these are just three pages, so perhaps it's more complicated than that. As of now, the fact the targets were "white" and "privileged" seems like the motive.

My thoughts are that you cannot judge every trans individual by one severely disturbed person with easy access to weapons.

It would be good to see that same energy the next time the shooter is a white male.

So much for due process.

There's no "due process" here. The subject is dead. There's no post-mortem trial to worry about.

Indeed.

Unless someone is willing to release the rest....yes.

In this event, it couldn't have fallen into more untrustworthy hands.

But it appears to be genuine so....a moot point.

Edit- It also seems worth pointing out that it was either separate books or someone flipped through the pages.

"Right now, the documents are with Metro Nashville police as they are embroiled in a lawsuit over their release. The Covernant Church and the families have sued to keep the documents from the public. Right now, the case is before the Tennessee Court of Appeals." LINKAGE

perhaps there's another word/phrase for releasing material still under the detrmination of the court system.
Disgusting is the first word that comes to my mind.
Unless someone is willing to release the rest....yes.
whether that should be done is being determined in the courts..
But it appears to be genuine so....a moot point.

Edit- It also seems worth pointing out that it was either separate books or someone flipped through the pages.
Local news only showed blurred images. What was reported is that it appears to be material that was in the shooter's car being photographed into evidence. Three pages from two notebooks was my understanding but I readily admit that I could be wrong on the number of notebooks.
update for source

as an aside.. I'm at the location depicted in the thumbnail photo in the OP 3 to 5 times a week. I was there earlier this afternoon. This story is local for me.

Here’s the deal…this person was obviously a very disturbed individual, why would anyone want to read the ravings of such a person?

Same can be said of any such individuals, yet I find it dismissive to call someone crazy and not consider other possibilities.
