When i was little back in the 1970's, we never considered it celebrating halloween, we just went trick or treating to get candy.

Our townhouse row gets together and we make hot dogs and handout candy as a group. Im not into horror or gore but we'll take in and enjoy a bad scary movie. Horrors of Spider Island, Creature from the Black Lagoon, or some good Twilight Zone episodes.

It's extremely celebrated in the secular world. I hate seeing it coming every year. My lights are off that night but i am always worried they might do something bad especially to the cats.

It's a wicked holiday. I wanted to see if people still participate which is the reason for the poll. It seems people are so tolerant now. Anything goes. Which opens the door for even worse.

When I was little we'd never heard of treat or treat. Halloween was bobbing for apples, telling ghost stories and parties where we dressed up as witches or ghosts.
I'm sure there's someone who goes to America and brings all these customs back.

No, its not a thing here in Europe.

However, on the 1st of November, some people go traditionally to cemetery to remember their relatives. Its called All Souls' Day.

We had an all souls day but it lost strength and i don't think we celebrated relatives. We also had beggars day which was before spook day

Yeah, its not too widely practiced here, either. I think its rather a Roman Catholic thing, but not exclusively.

I can't watch scary any more they are too scary. I would have nightmares and maybe a heart attack if i saw nightmare on elm street now,. It still scares me just thinking about. They couldn't close their eyes and drift or that guy, Freddie Krueger, would get them. Sheesh

It is just once a year and fun for kids. Just because you choose to believe in witches, devils and other things that don't exist doesn't mean you should project those beliefs on to kids who are too young to understand such things. They just want to have fun and eat candy, like kids are supposed to.
