Joe couldn't fire the prosecutor. The president of Ukraine had to be the one to ask for his resignation. And there has been no evidence that Joe received money . The money he was threatening to witholdicame was aid to Ukraine and he was acting as the point man for the Obama administration, and at the encouragement of the World Bank, European Union, and IMF. The IMF was threatening to $40 billion in aid for the same reasons the US was threatening to withhold money. Shokin was not investigating corrupt individuals and did not prosecute any .

Instead, Zlochevsky’s assets had been seized a year earlier and were only briefly not under a court order because of a prosecutorial error.

In other words, there would have been no reason for Biden to raise the supposed raid of Zlochevsky’s home in his phone calls. Moreover, as we’ve shown, Biden’s aides at the time say that neither Burisma nor Zlochevsky was raised in the calls.
