As a dispensationalist, I believe the church age started at Pentecost 2,000 years ago. Then the Kingdom age is 1,000 years. What I wonder is if Jesus will physically return or if His return is symbolic in some way. Also, I wonder how we will transition from one age to the next. Lots of people think there will be a 7-year tribulation period.

The earth is the Lord`s and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. `Ps. 24: 1)

God made it all and never gave it away. It is rebellious rulership that He is dealing with. The kingdom of God is His rulership over all now and in the future with Christ ruling from His own throne with His body, (Church).(Rev. 3: 21)

The kingdom/rulership that is in the millennium is Christ ruling through Israel over the nations of the earth. Christ rules from His seat of power and authority in the third heaven. (Rev. 3: 21)

The "transition" will be a lot like the transition from the old covenant to the new covenant.

As a Dispensationalist there are a lot of dots to connect and some of them are broken leaving Christians, like yourself, to question its teachings. God is not the author of confusion. Consider what Christians believed before John Nelson Darby invented this theological view. It is very good to seek out truth by reading scripture and not to read into it things that are not there.

I do not question anything at all. The Bible clearly says 1000 years is a day. The Bible does not say one day is 5 billion years. Yet most people accept that the Earth is indeed very old. Even 14 billion years old.

Consider what Christians believed before John Nelson Darby invented this theological view.

Interesting that he lived 200 years ago and you still know his name today? That would be about the time of your great great grandfather. Do you know what his name was? A person you are descended from?

It is very good to seek out truth by reading scripture and not to read into it things that are not there.

I have read the Bible 7 times. I did not trust anyone at first. It was just me, the Bible and the Holy Spirit of God to guide me and lead me in my studies. Yet it is a common practice to attend a church and listen to sermons. The Bible does say we are to fellowship with others and not just go off by ourselves the way you suggest.

So do you mean the kingdom age will be a new covenant? There is talk about the Bride of Christ, without spot, blemish or wrinkle.

Just who is going to rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years. In Rev 20 we are told about a first resurrection.

"Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also, I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years."
