Our country was not “in good shape” when he left. He’d started blowing up the deficit before covid; then his response to covid was mostly terrible and his one success (the vaccine) he failed to sell to his fanbase, so they rejected it.
Hey, who needs a vaccine when Covid can be cured with an arthritis drug, a horse de-wormer, and a good slug of bleach?

Inflation is back down to 3%.
Still double what it was under Trump. But we're supposed to be happy about it anyway since it isn't 8% anymore as it was last year.
Add the 3% to last year's 8% and it means we've seen prices increase 11% under just 2 years of Biden. Hooray!

How fast do you want it to fall and what are you willing to give up to achieve that target?

I'm willing to give up biden's policy of printing money to send to Ukraine (along with other wasteful spending). At least send it to Maui.
Signing an infrastructure law that actually related to infrastructure (instead of labeling it with a lie), would actually have created jobs.

I'm also willing to give up biden as president.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) — whom Donald Trump told in a call to “find” additional votes to overturn the results of the election — said in a statement Tuesday that “the most basic principles of a strong democracy are accountability and respect for the Constitution and rule of law.
Former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, one of the witnesses who testified before the grand jury Monday, called the investigation a “pivot point” in American politics.

“As Republicans, we either are going to have to take our medicine and realize the election wasn’t rigged, Donald Trump was the worst candidate ever, in the history of the party … and now we are going to have to pivot from there,” Duncan told reporters as he left the courthouse. [I understand he compared Trump unfavorably to Herschel Walker as the worst candidate ever.]

Worth repeating....there are Georgia Republican leaders who still take their oath of office seriously.

Sending the money to Maui would make inflation in the US worse, not better.

Signing an infrastructure law that actually related to infrastructure (instead of labeling it with a lie), would actually have created jobs.

Creating more jobs would increase inflation.

I'm also willing to give up biden as president.

So it's safe to assume that you don't know what causes inflation?

I thought that 3% was close to ideal. It's enough to allow for economic growth.

The Fed has considered 2% their target for a long time, but they've been coming in below that for most of the time since the great recession. I've been hearing some grumblings that folks are starting to think they should shoot higher for a while, both to counteract some of the downsides of long periods of too-low inflation and to take up what appears to be more slack in the job market than was previously known.

President Donald J. Trump is the greatest thing since sliced bread, he accomplished more in 4 years than most presidents have done in 8 years, all while under constant attack from the liberal democratic left, Russia Hoax being one dishonorable mention, 3 years and $millions spent, all for a big outcome of the DNC and Hillary Clinton planned the entire obstruction of a duly elected president in Donald J. Trump, as America was held hostage based upon deceit and lies!
I always find it interesting how a investigation started by a Republican deputy attorney general headed by a Republican former FBI director all operating under a government with Republican majorities is somehow an "attack" by "the liberal democratic left". It is almost as if reality does not really matter and the only objective is to smear the democrats without regard to facts.

Or the fact that Bob Mueller's integrity was so unquestioned that Congress unanimously agreed to extend his term when Obama asked them to. I thought Mueller was a brilliant suggestion for SC, but I was wrong lol.

He didn’t “get things done and in control.” Aside from a couple issues, he was pretty ineffective as a president, with few policy wins, a cabinet in disarray and many of his EA’s overturned.

Inflation is back down to 3%.

Our country was not “in good shape” when he left. He’d started blowing up the deficit before covid; then his response to covid was mostly terrible and his one success (the vaccine) he failed to sell to his fanbase, so they rejected it.

Your description matches how I expected his presidency to go, not how it went.
Exactly! And because of online echo-chambers - we had the same alt-right alt-troof anti-vaccination protests down here in Australia. Just before the pandemic - right in a 5 year stretch when we had huge names like Bill Gates screaming the red-alert that the west was not ready for the big one - Trump gets in, amalgamates a bunch of emergency response departments under the one umbrella, fires a bunch of staff, loses invaluable experience and human capital - and then blames EVERYONE ELSE including nurses and doctors (!!!!) for using "too much PPE - there's something going on there - it seems crooked" and basically discouraged trust in the medical community so bad it fired up the alt-troofers. Then you ended up with protesters screaming at journalists "Take it off! Take it off!" about their own right to wear a MASK!

There was a massive 6 week delay - where every day lost means another WEEK in lockdown - simply because Trump fired so much talent at the top. "We have the best people" yadda yadda yadda but he FIRED key names just before the pandemic hit. It was a chaotic circus. He thought he was on his show, The Apprentice.

Eventually America responded - but it was too little too late to save so many lives lost.

But now Biden is in, he passes IRA. The alt-right call IRA "Communism" but it's a little tinkering with the free market - a tax break that encourages bottom-up organic growth not top-down government run brute force operations. And what's happening? America is now suddenly flexing her enormous free-market muscles and is about to become a renewable energy superpower! You are on track to be producing your own solar-cells - not relying on China any more. Your own lithium. Your own batteries! Indeed, America has so many battery factories in the pipeline that you would have the capacity to could have 100% EV's by 2030! (If America hypothetically stopped importing cars and sold only domestic EV's.) That's 13 to 15 TIMES the battery capacity you have today.

IRA - it's the sort of thing that will make America independent of Chinese energy supplies and encouraging home grown energy security. Energy security is basically national security. Energy is the lifeblood of the modern world. Without enough energy, society would collapse. I would have thought home grown American energy production that is CLEAN, does not poison the air, and does not cause additional climate change would have been the war-cry of the Republican party?

But because of Trumpism - we get IRA called the "radical socialist left". (Yawn). Does Trump not know any other words?
