I was a fresh Christian in my mid-twenties when the following happened. I went to bed and fell asleep and experienced paralysis. I was lying on my bed and could not move a muscle. I tried and tried but could not move at all. I tried to call out the name of Jesus but no sound came out.
Then from the perspective of the ceiling, I (my spirit) saw my body lying on my bed. A big hook was placed into my head between the eyes. Some demon whose form I could not see was dragging the hook and pulling. I saw my soul coming out of my head. It was a strange image. I saw my head coming out of my head, two heads. I called out the name of Jesus and this time the sound came out. Then I woke up.
It was strange.
On the other hand, Ezekiel 8:
I've experienced sleep paralysis from being "pre-Christian" to "deep Christian". Practically most of my life and most of my Christian life. Lost count of the instances.
Similar experience as you. Not totally mute however. I can still summon enough strength to say the name of Jesus at tremendous struggle though. You can feel very powerful forces trying to keep you from speaking.
A year before I accept Jesus, I heard God or the Holy Spirit speak to me through the clouds. He was drawing me away from a crowd and I was literally in a crowd at the time in a school activity.
At the same time, the Lord revealed to me the world is evil and I should not be friends with the world (1 John 5:19 and James 4:4). Many years before I read those verses!
Since then, the sleep paralysis have greatly intensified. There were even times, the situation manifested physically and witnessed by others while I slept as if a storm/tornado and earthquake is buffeting the house in the middle of a quiet and calm night, yet there was none.
As years went by, I got better at resisting sleep paralysis and whatever dark forces are behind them. The Lord gave or probably trained me the ability to absorb the energy of these dark forces and use that energy against them.
Sometimes, I will be attacked by these forces in reality, while fully awake and conscious like when doing a chore or something. Same outcome as in sleep paralysis, I could absorb their energy and use their own energy to cast them out.
By the time I was given this ability, the sleep paralysis have subsided quite dramatically. Unfortunately, the physical aspects of my life and my loves ones have come under attack, even people I work with.
It would seem that since these forces could no longer attack me, they've resorted to attacking vulnerable people around me. Both Christians and non-Christians alike.
Ironically, the attacks weren't as severe when than when I was still "friends with the world". I suppose the "deeper" you go, the more worried evil spirits become and would try to stop you in any way they can.
The Lord did told me before, I should leave my parents. I suppose that's the only way to keep them out of harms way and to fully utilize the ability He has given me but I couldn't leave my parents behind.
