Am I detecting skepticism?

Yes.

I can't picture Noah cutting down trees to build his homestead, when the Ark is right there.

I suppose they could have found a cave to live in; or God could have supplied them with something.

But I'm going to go with Noah dismantling the Ark.

The problem with these descriptions is that they don't appear to be consistent or from any particularly verified sources.

The other issue for me is that we live in a very visible world. Satellite images, high quality cameras and extremely accurate GPS are all available to common people... why is it still "claimed to have photographed" and "a mountain" and not specifics and high def.

This isn't a claim of revelation or some kind of Biblical interpretation from being saved... we are talking about a claim about a physical location near where human being live.

The Middle East is full of Christian and Muslim Creationists (some with a lot of money) who would love to present the actual remnants of the Noah's Arc... but they don't.
