CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some parents do not have college degrees, but still want to provide their children with the depth of knowledge that comes with high school coursework in various specialized subjects. Would you be willing to have traditional schools available as an option for those families?

Are you saying that it’s an overreaction to scrap the school system because there are certain bad actors involved in various schools?

No. And college degrees aren’t necessary to educate your children. For instance, the first family that I met that homeschooled had a mom who was a high school drop out. The oldest son is a veterinarian, the second is a police office, the oldest daughter owns her own business, and the youngest daughter is making a career in the Coast Guard. There’s no excuse.

I've made that point all along. You're the one who wants to trash all government operated schools and this "incident" has nothing to do with it as you have made abundantly clear in prior threads.

I was just trying to be consistent with other things that people wasn’t to get rid of because of a few bad actors. I’m glad to see that we are making progress.
I will rescind my objection to government schools based solely on this incident.
