i think this is the forth such incident in the last couple weeks.

you are shooting teens for making mistakes.

you're not shooting bad guys and yet people are dieing.

And I can't figure if it would be better that these incidents always happened but are being exploited by rhe media or they have just started to happen.

And I can't figure if it would be better that these incidents always happened but are being exploited by rhe media or they have just started to happen.

It would seem that the mainstream media focuses on incidents that are similar in nature to previous reports they've done that generated a lot of interest. If someone shoots a teenager who made a mistake and it generates a lot of attention, then they are quick to seek out and report on any other incident that is similar soon afterward. If it wasn't for the initial incident, the following incidents probably wouldn't have gotten much more than local attention.

You may have noticed that the same thing happened with train derailments. When the first one occurred, it generated a lot of attention. Suddenly, it seemed as if a train derailment was happening every few days afterward. Most likely, the following derailments wouldn't have been reported. Same goes for incidents where a cop shot someone who was fleeing or resisting arrest. After George Loyd, the news focused on similar cases that would have been ignored otherwise. It's not as if these things just started happening. Trains derail, people shoot each other, and cops face violent people.
