Actually I find this thread to be quite interesting, and a useful insight into the mind of ChatGpt. It makes me wonder just what you find so pointless about the whole concept of having a rational discussion with a ChatBot, as compared to the often irrational discussions that seem to be the norm around here.

If you want a rational conversation with a chatbot open Bing and select 'Chat'.

Half the point of being on CF is encountering the irrational thinking which permeates this place.

It's a sad state of affairs when Chatbot has made some truly moronic remarks about science in this forum yet by implication is more rational than various human members who post here.

Computers aren't artificial intelligence - they're just glorified adding machines.

and ... scientists can and do 'sci' without computers. It just takes a little longer.

Computers (and AI) aren't magick or demonic AV. They are just resources.
