  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Modern day systemic racism, does it exist?

It's a factor of our classist society but it can be overcome.
Now it's a a factor....

Why would a presidential candidate take money from some guy running a card game?
Yeah. Why?

It's only the upper echelon that gets access to the important players and even then they don't likely meet face to face.
This doesn't answer why.

If they say "we know our judges don't dispense justice equally"
Nope. You have a right to a fair trial....not an equal outcome.

They also found a wild disparity between men and women but that doesn't mean they would have to retry all men.

the lawsuits and retrials would come out of the woodwork. The disparity remains.
It's a disparity....not evidence of discrimination. The research is just being honest and telling me that people like yourself are reading it incorrectly.

Why would I change it.
I've no agenda to push and I've not misstated anything
Maybe I'm wrong then, but I thought you stated once or twice there were no Filipino football players in the nfl, or usa, or something like that ?

So how many black CEOs should we have?

How many blacks applied for and were equally if not more qualified for those jobs and didn't get them because they were black?
I don't know but I do know there are almost none

Now it's a a factor...
It always has been a factor. I never said systemic racism is insurmountable, I said it affects people.
Nope. You have a right to a fair trial....not an equal outcome.
The unequal outcomes show it's unfair.
It's a disparity....not evidence of discrimination. The research is just being honest and telling me that people like yourself are reading it incorrectly.
It's a CYA move, nothing more. They say we are going to show you haw racist the courts are but you can't actually complain about it. So systemic it stinks.

In China a dark skin indicates time working
outdoors, low paid labour's. That is class
Right, light skin good, dark skin bad.
In Asia people like lighter skin as more attractive.
It's the same whether or not there was one African
ever existed. It's nothing to do with them.
Racism / blacks is not the axis the world revolves on
What a coincidence, people in the USA like light skin too. Did I ever say you have to be African to have dark skin? It seems like you said your country was racist like most others. The Axis is judging people by color not being a citizen of the African continent.

I've seen a lot of people on welfare. They almost totally depend on their providers even if the providers are hurting them. A lot of those on welfare are not white, while still there are many who are white also, but are treated just as badly. What hope do they have to find help that helps, instead of help that controls and hurts ?
My daughter is a consultant for a black-owned firm that aids health care providers in reaching out to poor black people in the Chicago area. Her problems in getting them--the wealthy blacks who are the heads of this firm--to understand that even they don't have a clue in how to reach the poor blacks that the providers expect them as blacks to be able to reach. They expect, for instance, to get the poor blacks to dial in for hour-long informational webinars and can't understand it when my daughter tells them that their intended audience is not going to dial in to an hour-long informational webinar.

Why not? I mean why can't they call in for that?

How many should we have?
I don't know, I guess it would depend on how many qualified blacks applied. Did any even get an interview?
Hmmm.....

They say we are going to show you how racist our system is....

Where did they say that?
By the disparity in white and black prison sentences.

It was a gues, and i was wrong. Two would
be proportionate underrepresentation, which
is the point- various groups ard over or under represented
in various fields.
There is no simple theory like " racism" to explain it.

Your turn - name one that is not controlled by the money. You can't , can you ?
You didn’t say controlled by money, you said controlled by CEO’s. The city of Seattle in Washington is not controlled by a CEO. Now it’s your turn to name a city that is.
But you'll be called ma'am and the pronouns will be her and she. You ok with that or would you put up a fight and demand that people treat you as the person you think you are?
I dunno. Now back to the question at hand. If something harms more white people than black people, why would you call it racist against blacks?

Well since your convinced how many did apply and how many didn't get the job cause the interviewers were racist? Where's your evidence?

Please quote them where they say they were going to show how racist the system is.

Or do you mean if something can't be shown in 30 seconds they are not interested?
Yes. Few of their intended audience have computers, most just have phones, and they don't do webinars. This isn't my daughter's guess, there is data on it, and that's her business.

It's maddening and confusing. These people have low cost, even free, medical care being made available, but getting them to take advantage of it is incredibly difficult. That's the problem my daughter has been hired to solve, but even the people who have hired her can't understand it...they just see that they can't make it work.
