I think you missed my point.

When God's own creation indicates that it is billions of years old, for us to conclude otherwise means we think God's own work is false.

What? No, Adam & Eve is just a story. But if they had been created and we were their descendants, they would have to have been created with a full embedded history of their evolutionary ape, mammal, and vertebrate heritage; with the same basic chemistry, organs, anatomy, physiology, genetics, etc. If they had been created in the image of anything, it would have to have been the image of an intelligent bipedal hominid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
