Why not? They’ve been on the hook to help keep certain neighborhoods white for decades. Only fair some of the spoils should go to minorities now and then.
While it’s generally true that enacting policy to improve the lives of your constituents is good for approval ratings, I doubt this one - which would affect a tiny minority in a single state that reliably votes blue anyway - would do anything to move the needle. I will give you $300,000 if this happens.
If it was being paid to white people exclusively, and based on their skin color, that would be wrong as well.
What if that had been happening for 200 years and then stopped. Would the others have financially recovered from supporting the white race, say, 60 years later?
It is not necessarily a matter of hatred to point out that a politician, politicians or those that support them have advocated for dangerous fascistic ideologies and policies. I don't consider myself to hate anyone and have often pointed out the fascistic tendencies among politicians on both sides of the aisle. Pretending that such tendencies are only among the followers of one particular politician is ridiculous. The fact is that many people wear voluntarily fixed blinders in order to accuse others of being unique in this way. They exhibit the same tendencies when it comes to pursuing their own agendas. The excuse is always that the ends justify the means. Hate is an emotion which manifests itself in people wishing harm to come to the object of their displeasure. People that hate find pleasure in the distress of others i.e. Schadenfreude. As far as i am concerned if one takes pleasure in harm done to others or if one wishes harm upon others then one is engaging in hate. If one points out the things that others do that one finds disgraceful or disgusting or immoral or hypocritical without harboring ill will toward those others that one critiques, one is simply giving an opinion. One can often tell by the way a person expresses an opinion whether or not they also harbor ill will toward those they are criticizing.
