Everything? That's very broad.

If it's declassified, it should be subject to a FOIA request, so anyone can get their hands on our national secrets for a small fee. Judge Dearie isn't buying any of his nonsense though. He's asking them to go on record as to whether or not they are stating the FBI planted evidence and giving them about a week to go through the documents that the DOJ filter team has already set aside as potentially privileged docs.

Ignoring what past presidents have done and then did while in office. Then ignoring or maybe never searched what the Constitution says what a president can do or not I have.. Then ignoring the fact once out of office can take years to go through all that stuff. A real number is given more then two. One can quote the left or right but not wise to do that. Then for the 1st time ever the man in charge FBI says something no one in his position had a right to say yet did. That man took home what?

Look, we all say dumb things on times. I know I do. So why on earth is it so hard to say 'Gee, that was dumb' and move on? It's almost a game in the forum - find the most ridiculous or dumbest thing that someone on the right has said or done, post it and see how long it takes for some 'whatabout-ism'.

The comment Trump made is completely and utterly unsupportable. And I mean 100% unsupportable. No room for wriggling around it. No chance to put a good spin on it. It was nonsensically, grotesquely, bizzarely wrong. It wouldn't even pass muster as satire.

Why not agree to that, in a less strident manner if you like, and the thread ends.

Again as a JUDGE said, it's a red herring, declassifying them doesn't make it stop making it ilegal to have them, they are GOVEREMENT property not the presidents or anyone elses. I've been saying that for weeks, declassifying means you can make copies and have access to read them, doesn't mean you get to take them home thats just idiotic.

Actually the president does have a right under the law, NARA and Trump were discussing which records Trump would keep. It was GSA personnel that packed up many of the records, it was no secret.

That's not true anyway. I remember Cheney reclassifying documents from the Vietnam war. One day historians and researchers had access, the next they did not.

In Trump's case, the declassification was purely imaginary, so I don't see the problem with equally imaginary reclassification.
