Debatable, they certainly have strong social and environmental barriers to reproduction.

Despite genetic compatibility, a fox terrier can't breed with a timber wolf without human intervention.

Regardless dogs are clear evidence that new varieties can come from inherited mutations.

Science does is not prove anything. Proof can only exist when there is no doubt, and there is always doubt.

A fish does not become a cat or another mammal. Fish and mammals have a common ancestor.
