...while we saw the thousands of dollars Jones was raking in every day (thanks to his defense attorney)....his company had the audacity to file for bankruptcy last week. Sandy Hook parents are appealing to the bankruptcy judge.

The company's attorneys told the bankruptcy judge on Wednesday that they were only making a "boring" request for permission to make routine payments on debts during the first weeks of its Chapter 11. The company filed for bankruptcy last Friday. read more

But the Sandy Hook families said the company could not be trusted to make accurate statements about its finances. They also allege that Jones took $62 million from the company while burdening it with $65 million in "fabricated" debt owed to PQPR Holdings, a company owned by Jones and his parents.

He does squeak a bit of truth when hard pressed. Followers may find it hard to keep up with the reverses and backtracking tho: Alex Jones concedes that the Sandy Hook attack was '100% real'

I know in the US the individual has free speech rights, but the idea that it is ok to publically lie about something that is historically provable and certified in the courts should carry some real prison penalties. It is absurd that people without means to go to court for libel should not be left without defence.
In Germany to deny the holocaust is a crime, similarly to deny mass acts of violence should also be a crime. My wife worked for a museum design company that worked on the holocaust and it changed my world view. Some people are so convinced about their position they will hurt others and be convinced they are right, or worse lie because they literally hate who they call their enemies.

You cannot rationalise with such folk, but stopping outright lies should, with the internet and free information, be a simple thing to prove and judge rightly and punish those who fail. When truth is sacrificed in a society for lies, that society will fall.

You are right to ask this question, because if he is still saying lies why is he still funded and still speaking?
And the answer is because too many people want to destroy the current institutions and social structure and will support anyone causing trouble and standing against the "big man".

With the internet and massively cheap information distribution, what society has not realised is stability arises because people are happy, and lies are like cancer to the disgruntled and protesting.

Fire starts because you have oxygen, fuel and an ignition source. Oxygen is the open distribution of ideas, true or false, fuel is emotional upset people, ignition is an incident that causes an emotional outpouring of feeling.

You stop this by addressing the fuel, the disgruntled people and listening to their problems. By addressing the oxygen, answering the truth and lies, and stopping the continuation of lying to create an atmosphere peace and balance, and addressing ignition sources with the full weight of the judicial system.

The US used to be a country of speaking honesty, integrity and truth, helping people in difficult situations and bringing hope to the hopeless. It is still there but the noise of hatred and insanity needs to be quietened down, and answered.

I watched a program about 4 isis followers who wanted to blew up the New York underground. If they had it would have caused international waves, yet the action however thought would be small compared to actual war and real conflict. This information balance is insane, and makes our world appear a lot more unstable than it actually is. Our culture needs to catch up with what matters and what is just propoganda and show...
