What lessons do you learn from Ecclesiastes and how do you apply them?
Eccl 1.
The
Earth will remain forever.
4 A generation goes and a generation comes,
But the earth remains forever.
Circular wind currents -
6 Blowing toward the south,
Then turning toward the north,
The wind continues swirling along;
And on its circular courses the wind returns.
Hydrologic cycle
7 All the rivers flow into the sea,
Yet the sea is not full.
To the place where the rivers flow,
There they flow again.

Eccl 9 - at death the activity of the person ceases. (no matter that the person is wicked or a saint)
4 For whoever is joined to all the living, there is hope; for better a live dog, than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have a reward any longer, for their memory is forgotten. 6 Indeed their love, their hate, and their zeal have already perished, and they will no longer have a share in all that is done under the sun.
Eccl 12:
1 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;
For man goes to his eternal home while the mourners move around in the street. 6 Remember your Creator before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the spring is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed; 7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, and masters of these collections are like driven nails; they are given by one Shepherd.

The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is:
fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14 For
God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
2 Cor 5:10
10 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation
for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.
Rom 6:23 - the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.
