  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So how is that BLM thing going?

She got out of the hustle when the hustle was on top.
BLM and Antifa also served a political purpose in the lead-up to the 2020 elections. they served to convey the message that if Biden did not get elected this time, then those groups might instigate civil war. and if Trump had won, I imagine the Democrats might staged something a lot like January 6, only more violent and more permanent, and with the approval of organs like CNN.

Are you aware that Cullors stepped down from her position over a year ago?
And that matters why? At one point, it was her responsibility to file those forms right? She admitted she didn't even know what those forms were. Incompetence. Are you going to deny that and keep on defending her legally required non-actions while running a multi-million dollar "charity"?

A little over a year ago is when biden took office and the rioting BLM crowd decided it was time to stop rioting. So that would be the same time BLM and Cullors became irrelevant, and their "income" was drying up as a result. Good time to step down.
The groundhog in Pennsylvania also saw his shadow...I'm sure that had something to do with it too

Not to worry. They will re-brand themselves before the next election, but because they (like others) play on people's emotions rather than intellect, the unrest will be the same. It always has been and always will the same because nothing ever comes out of it once it's ulterior purpose has been achieved.

Face it. Most people who get wrapped up in political games of either side aren't smart enough to realize they are being played and will never achieve whatever agenda they support. That is why the same issues pop up decade after decade and even with house majorities nothing is ever done.

You don't sell the system to the people by removing the advertising that works to gain support. Change only comes by pressure from the outside of the system, not from within.

The evidence is the lack of accountability or documentation.
there is no documentatoin that invisible unicorns live on Pluto...so I guess that is evidence that they do.

This is really basic stuff. It is like your organization was given 6 billion dollars to care for homeless chickens. And a year later you are buying multiple mansions and no chickens were cared for. Then, when questioned, nobody can tell you where the donated money was spent. If you cannot acknowledge that, then I don't know what else to tell you. Unless you can show me exactly where the BLM donation money went. That would be extremely helpful because nobody else seems to have an answer. It sure didn't go towards improving black lives.

Did you know that by law any real estate transaction greater than $1 million requires the buyer to disclose where the buyer got the money from and that disclosure is filed with the title company and with the IRS. I bet you didn't know that. So how she afforded her 3 bedroom ranch is a matter of public record.

Did you also know the LA time published an accounting of BLM finances for 2020 and published the results on Feb 23 this year?
It includes funding form BLM chapters around the country and the foundation for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy which has distributed over 20 million to families with income loss from Covid. Also the grants it provided to a dozen cities for the building of infrastructure in minority communities. And grants for legal fees of families for unlawful death suits by police.

So what have you done to improving black lives?

autonomous to an extent, yes, as long as they stay on-brand. if a local BLM chapter decided to, say, put on an event showing their appreciation of local police, I think that they'd get in trouble about it.
off the top of my head I know it happened in Flint Michigan.

local BLM chapters shared info with you because you came off as sympathetic and eager to trust.

@SilverBear: Patrisse Culllors has said that she and BLM have an agenda.

BLM co-founder describes herself as 'trained Marxist'
maybe you should go and read the actual interview

as far as the rest, consult the BLM organization official website notice the mention of "abolition",
it appears once as part of a banner and is without any context.

Abolition from the Oxford dictionary
NOUN
the action or an act of abolishing a system, practice, or institution:
"the abolition of child labor"

a Critical Theory/CRT buzzword referring to the abolition of the US and western world's prison system. (CRT uses "abolition" to make equivalence between American slavery and prison.)
see also:

About - Black Lives Matter

This says among other things:
does it say how anyone decided abolition was a CRT buzzword?

not a word about violence done by black gang members (or, for that matter, gang members, period).
what are we to make of the fact it doesn't mention white ang members either?

the BLM organization and CRT construe the existing political and economic system (which they construe) as racist as the problem and black-on-black violence as symptomatic of it. so, overturn the system and black-on-black violence will go away.
you've never actually read actual CRT writings have you

you mean they might storm the capital building demanding that the election be overturned?

Couldn't come up with a reply that would refute what I said, eh? :ebil:

the cops (or individual cops) took the initiative to express solidarity with BLM, not the other way around.

Why some police officers stood with protesters outraged over George Floyd's death

no comment on that! I do know that people tend to act a bit differently to allies and potential allies than to foes or possible foes.

You didn't read the article. It didn't publish anything on BLM finances. Only said they would.

and how did BLM respond?

I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 100...

if you would do some reading you would find out they have a filing extension just like a few hundred other organizations.
And ask yourself why they require an extension almost two years after it was due.
