  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So how is that BLM thing going?

HARK!

Nope...many in my own family who ridiculed me for not voting for Biden are now showing regret.
I only hope more people wake up and see what is going on. We are on the verge of World War 3 and the President gets through speaking and tries to shake hands when there is no one there. He is obviously senile and it's sad and dangerous

What part of "the purpose was never to make them wealthy" did you not understand?
I guess I don't understand what you were saying. How does it benefit Democrats to make people dependent on a government safety net?

Because they will continue to vote democrate as long as they perpetuate the claim that Republicans are going to take their substaties away. They [Republicans] will "put y'all back in chains."

So everyone in the country is losing their culture? How have you lost your culutre?
I'm not going to argue with you. The structure of having a family is disappearing. Kids are being raised by single Moms. They don't have parents they have a baby mama and no father figure. They are in high school and can't read. They're not learning the skills they need to get a decent job. When I say culture I mean having a two parent family having a father in the home learning right from wrong staying away from crime. You mean something entirely different. Call it what you want we have lost the traditional family structure

How do you get a mother and a father to be responsible for these young people to set an example for them to help them with their school work to teach them how to work and be productive citizens? Many people do and I know many who do but there are so many who have no father figure no interest in how they do in school and a parent who only cares about the check they get for them every month. How do you help those kids? I was in law enforcement for 16 years and was a youth pastor for 10 so I have seen it first hand. It has to start with the children. Help them. See that they actually learn something in school. Teach them to value work and give them an alternative to gangs and crime. Show them that someone cares about them and believes in them. It has to start with the children

What's your best ideas on how to do that?

That's one way to look at it. Another is that as a nation, we don't allow our citizens to starve. Is it better to be a third world country where the poor starve?

the Bible says
"For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

As a nation, we decided that since there will always be poor people, we will treat them with humanity. The funny thing about it getting Democratic votes is that the poor vote less than anybody so it would be the wrong votes to buy.

Pour money into education.
Yeah they did that here where I live and the superintendent embezzled the money and the board was making trips to the casinos and teachers still don't have books

Let's forget about education then.
