Basically it says that satellite technology has discovered giant pyramids under the ice in Antarctica that are two kilometers by two kilometers at the base.

Ice core samples reveal vegetation similar to that of rain forests.

Conclusion: Antarctica was a tropical climate at one time in the past, and indigenous peoples built giant pyramids during this time.

It places a well forested (rain forest?) Antarctica at about 4000 years ago which is what the Bible describes for planet Earth itself around 4500 years ago..

right at about 1:23 the video claims they have one with a square base of 2km on each of the four sides.

We are probably going to see a few posts claiming that they have a bunch of other non-man-made formations with similar aspects of 4 sides of 2km each making a square.... or else entirely skipping over "the details"... let's see which way they do it.

If I was to take any show that aired on the History channel as a credible source by virtue of it having an "H - History" displayed somewhere on the screen during it's airing, I would say that we have bigger problems.

But, I am a little more discriminating than that.

Fascinating, if true. Those who believe in Noah's flood as being universal, including me, may take this as evidence of the massive changes in climate that a world wide flood could produce.

A truly "discriminating viewer" would note that what the History channel narrator states , are indeed historic facts that can be proven with historic documentation and the History channel stands behind it. But they also include in the report "so and so believed" or "Nazis believed..." or they get an author of a book to state "I think they found a or b or c". So it is factual that the author of that book does think that - but the narrator does not always say that what the book author thinks to be true - has been proven or demonstrated in historic records.

A discriminating viewer will note the difference, because for us -- details matter.

So we are going to give a few facts that are true in order to deliberately give credibility over the course of a 60 minute episode to a view that is completely false, but fun to entertain and will keep you watching more than actual History which is the name of our channel. That can't be dangerous, can it?

If only it wasn't for those Antarctic ice cores that offer unbroken records stretching back 800,000 years. The best evidence is that temperatures in Antarctic have averaged below zero for the last 3 to 3.5 million years.

The 'rainforest Antartica' records from the 2017 research are of fossils that are 90 million years old. That's well before humans, or the ancestors of humans, or the ancestors of the ancestors of humans were on the earth.

The pyramid geological feature in question is just that - a geological feature. There's zero evidence of anything else. It's certainly not a man made structure. It's made of stone, covered in snow and ice. It's called a nunatak that's part of the Ellsworth Mountains.

The mob that built the pyramid down at Antarctica were probably also responsible for building Australia's Gympie Pyramid which is logical since both Antarctica and Australia were joined together for a long period of time.
