In the Old Testament they worshipped pagan gods and sacrificed their children to them. Solomon and Moses were the worst. The scriptures we should be searching are the Psalms and Prophets that tell of Christ's coming and a new dispensation under the new High Priest, namely Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Moses is one of the most valued prophets in scripture.

Jesus even said:

John 5:46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Absolutely, when one repents and turns from sin. In the New Covenant, Jesus is our High Priest and we can go directly to Him for the forgiveness of sins.

2a : a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties especially for the performance of some action
As we know, ancient Jews were circumcised while they were little children, so their agreement was quite nonexistent.

Some covenants (mainly human ones) include agreement, some dont and are given by God (or in past by kings etc.) more in a form of a declaration.

Anyway, its not that important for our discussion.

You are welcome to pick one or two scriptures to talk about, but the Bible is one continues book, not 66 separate books,.
Exactly, Bible is a library of 66+ books, not a collection of verses. Thats why context determines what the verse says.

Its better you choose, because I see no commandment to keep sabbath or the Mosaic Law given to Christian in any of them. So you pick the one or two in which you are able to demonstrate it.

Exactly, Bible is a library of 66+ books, not a collection of verses. Thats why context determines what the verse says.
Context is always important, same as when scripture reveals the meaning of something, its not going to mean something entirely different the next time you see it in scripture. Thats why word studies can be very beneficial.

Its better you choose, because I see no commandment to keep sabbath or the Mosaic Law given to Christian in any of them. So you pick the one or two in which you are able to demonstrate it.

I will answer your question, but if you can first answer mine, which will help bring context to my question with scripture.

Do you think Christians can murder, covet or commit adultery as Christians. Why or why not and if you can please provide scripture references.

When God wrote His laws in our hearts and minds in the New Covenant, Hebrews 8:10, Jeremiah 31:33 it meant all of them, not just the ones we agree with.

Actually you do, when you claim we don't need to keep the commandments. Sin is breaking the commandments and Paul quotes directly from the Ten. Romans 7:7 and lawlessness is sin 1 John 3:4 and breaking one commandment is like breaking them all. James 2:10-12

You keep confusing the consequences of sin (breaking the commandments) with the commandments. Death is still the consequence of sin even in the New Covenant. Romans 6:23 but in the New Covenant we go directly to Jesus as He is our High Priest for the forgiveness of sins when we repent. True repentance means turning from sin and walking in Christ in obedience. Romans 6:16, John 14:15-18, Acts 2:38, Acts 5:32

These texts do not say "its still a sin to break any of the Ten Commandments in the New Covenant". They both say that "God will put His laws on our hearts". While it is reasonable to think that these law are the Old Testament Laws, including the 10, the writers never say this explicitly.

And it is more than reasonable to entertain the possibility that what the writers mean is that God will write the "spirit" or "underlying principles" of the Old Testament laws on our hearts, not the laws themselves.

Besides, as already pointed out, you appear to be in the position of having to argue that what it means for the law to be "written on our hearts" amounts to nothing more than effectively taking the Law of Moses and memorizing it. This seems like an awfully insignificant distinction from merely consulting the Laws "on paper".

And, again, on what basis do you hang onto the 10 yet, presumably, discarding all the other laws (e.g. about stoning adulterers, etc.)?

Hmmm, lets see what the scriptures say.

1 John 3:4 4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

What law is Paul referring to? The law that God personally wrote with His own finger. Found in the Ten Commandments Exodus 20

I prefer to go with scripture and God said He writes His laws in our hearts and minds. Hebrews 8:10, Jeremiah 31:33, It's really not wise to think it means only the laws we want to keep and it deletes the ones we don't or it would include all the laws except the ones God personally wrote with His own finger, God spoke with His own voice, kept in the ark of the covenant in Most Holy of His Temple where God dwells and is also revealed in heaven. Revelation 11:19 And Jesus and the disciples repeats throughout the New Testament.

If one is keeping the spirit of the law, the letter will automatically be kept as Jesus demonstrates as an example. Matthew 5:21-30. The Spirit is given to those who obey. John 14:15-18, Acts 2:38, Acts 5:32

Remembering the Ten is not hard but does take some practice. I highly recommend doing so.

God's law was not written on paper, it was written on stone by the finger of God and placed inside the ark Exodus 40:20. Exodus 34:28 The law of Moses was written on paper in a book Deut 31:24, 2 Cor 35:12 and placed on the side of the ark as a witness against us and contained curses. Deut 29:20-21, Galatians 3:10. God's law reflects the very character of God (holy, perfect, eternal, righteous etc.) and God's law is not grievous 1 John 5:3 and God's law is perfect and eternal. Psalms 19:7, Matthew 5:17-19. Not all laws are the same.

Jesus said If you love Me, keep My commandments and repeated verbatim from the Ten. Exodus 20:6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. John said this IS the love of God, that we keep His commandments 1 John 5:3 so breaking any of the commandments is against love and considered sin. I believe God is the one who sets that standard, not us.

As a FYI here is the commandment for thou shalt not covet Exodus 20:17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” found right in the Ten Exodus 20 and considered sin in the New Covenant.

God said it right in the Ten Exodus 20:6 and it is exactly how it is written. If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15. Showing mercy to thousands who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:6 Jesus said to keep the least of the commandments and quotes directly from the Ten Matthew 5:17-30.

Once God defines something it doesn't mean something entirely different the next time you see it. How confusing would that be. Just like Jesus quoted from the OT the greatest commandments verbatim, doesn't mean something different.

If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well. Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles. God said it right in the Ten Exodus 20:6 and it is exactly how it is written. If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:15. Showing mercy to thousands who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:6 Jesus said to keep the least of the commandments and quotes directly from the Ten Matthew 5:17-30.

Funny, I don't see that in my bible that Jesus came to end the law . He said the opposite (Matthew 5:19) so everyone can sin freely. Jesus seems to say something different in regard to keeping the law right before the Second Coming of Jesus. Matthew 5:17-30, Matthew 19:17-19, Matthew 7:21-23, John 14:15, 1 John 5:3, John 15:10, Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:15, Revelation 22:14-15, James 2:10-12, Hebrews 10:26-30, 1 John 3:4, Romans 7:7, Romans 3:20, 1 John 2:3-5 just a few of the scriptures one has to ignore to make your argument.

I am sticking with scripture on this one but we can agree to disagree.

Tell that to God. The one commandment that God said "Remember" and uses the word "holy" and blessed".

Not sure why you wrote it in this obviously wrong way.

The right one is:
Jesus came to end the Mosaic Law. We are not free to sin, because the New Covenant has also laws. These laws are not in a written form, but are based on love in our hearts.

Because the beginning of your post was wrong, I will not respond to the rest, till its solved.
