Why don't you ask the next of kin of those "corpses" you called them?

Maybe the next time an engineer notices something amiss, scientists will back him up, instead of letting administration vote to move ahead as planned?

I wonder how many engineers tried to stop the Hindenburg from being filled with hydrogen? or tried to stop the "life-saving" Florida footbridge from being put in place prematurely? or tried to warn the appropriate personnel at the Champlain Towers, while scientists DID NOTHING but sit on the sidelines playing Risk™ ?

Thanks to you guys for pointing this out, I'm going to go after engineers just as much as I'm going to go after scientists.

Since academia wants to jettison engineers from their ranks, I'll do the same.

Not many, actually. Everyone knew that hydrogen was far more dangerous than helium, but the Germans filled the Hindenburg with hydrogen anyway because the world's biggest supplier of helium at the time - the US - refused to sell them any... what with them being Nazis and all that.

So when Der Fuhrer says "fill it with hydrogen," it doesn't matter who you are -- the only response that won't get you sent to a camp is "Jawohl, mein Fuhrer."
