Seems like the math is good for UR. What's not to like? Also, the absolute value of 'math' is up for grabs ...

And I believe that God may use the same things to reveal different truths to different individuals.
The problem is when one individual claims that what God showed them is the only "legitimate" truth. And tell anyone who disagrees with THEM to take it up with God. (thus playing the "God card" in an attempt to win the debate)

That's an issue that need not detain us so,.moving on, let's get back OT. Universal hermeneutics, sorry I mean redemption, what's not to like?
I actually had a topic on that subject, which you may recall. (appeared briefly and then vanished)Yeah, I hate that when I see folks play the "God card." So, we be on the same page on that.![]()
I think he was only ribbing you.I never said "universal" hermeneutics. See? You're reaching again, trying to fill in the missing blank with your own intuited guesswork as to what someone else means. You need to stop doing that, Hmm. And so does @Der Alte.

Yes, All = All is axiomatically true with no interpretation or bookshelves required.
It was a joke...

If you don't want people to get your goat... don't show them where it is tied.
Yes, we should all be baptized in pickle brine. - lolFor those who claim the high ground spiritually, the act of 'ribbing' seems to be out of place. It also becomes a poor excuse as a replacement for the effort it takes to do and apply hermeneutics and exegesis.
This is no place for the humorless.... you always say "it was a joke." I'm starting to think it's "all" a joke.![]()
Last time I checked, we were all playing nice.I mean really. So far, all I've seen is a lot of reaching from all parties who like to elongate and elaborate and repeatedly go at each other. It's been kind of reductionistic, even, on both sides involved.
Last time I checked, we were all playing nice.
Then you arrived to inform us otherwise.
What's wrong with this picture?
"The Scream" by Munch captures perfectly the alienation from the world and desperate disappointment that I've seen in the faces of people who go to church or attend church out-reaching courses on Christianity when, after being taught that God is a Loving Father like the prodigal's father which makes a lot of sense, they're told, hold on, before you start to think the Good News is too good, you also have to believe that God will suddenly turn into the complete opposite of that and torture you forever if you happen to die not believing X, Y and Z (Maths). How else can anyone sensibly react but scream at such madness?
The problem here is that that picture isn't "The Scream" by Munch...
I know, it's a pastiche but I wanted to talk about the original to which it refers.
Some advice my friend: stop trying to trip everyone up. Relax!
