Genesis is Barely Literal

Basically I multiply a million than divide it with 1 than subtract it with P and W it should have a reconcilable answer in my eyes also I dont affirm that earth can just be a billion years old because science says so gotta be proven.

Actually, it just requires a common ancestor. Something with which science concur (eg mitochondrial Eve)

I believe that like 60% of Genesis isn't literal like the 7 days arent literal for creation and a universal flood didn't happen but at a specific place which all creation was present at. I also believe that Adam and Eve were infact humans but they weren't flat out homosapiens right of the back they probably was one of the evolve creatures in Richard Dawkins theory(Not saying they wasnt but the possibility of that is almost 0-1) I just dont believe Adam and eve were like us in anyway when they first was created because fossils ¨prove¨ we evolved but I not saying evolution is true just saying its a possibility of the sort but I do believe the genealogy thats a fact people may respond if they disagree but I myself just dont see Genesis as Literal.

I seems to me I've heard as many distinct overall views (in details) about the cosmology and Earth science and biological science of Genesis chapter 1 as people I've talked with about it.

I thought the forbidden fruit was about certain knowledge?

I thought the tree in the middle of the garden was Christ?

I thought the snake was a descriptive symbol of the devil.

I read Genesis in a spiritual manner.

wow we are quite similar in this field but i see
the garden of eden as partaking of Gods nature 2 Peter 1:4
I see the Fruit as knowledge obtainable from disobedience
I see the snake as an description on what the devil act as

The entire Old Testament is really about Jesus.

Was Melchizedek who was not an Israelite, a type pointing to the eternal, divine priesthood of the Christ?

Was Abraham sacrificing his son, a type, a symbol of the Father sending His Son as a perfect sacrifice for all?

Was the Ark that floated during the flood symbolic of God's Grace?
Saving us from the future judgement, the deluge of sin?

Was the temple in Jerusalem the real temple or was the temple a copy of the heavenly temple?

The law of Moses is overflowing with types and symbols. The manna that fell from the sky in the desert was symbolic of the manna from heaven, Christ Himself.

The nation of Israel (covenant of works) was a symbol of the future nation of believers (covenant of grace) in Jesus.

This, not taking the Bible as literal, i see as part of either the falling away (that would depend on if we are close to that time) or a kind of setting the stage for a falling away.

It is easy to drop something a person does not believe in.

The Bible doesnt say take it literal or not its all personal(subjective). I am in full faith in Christ, testimony helps me stay following Christ

It is easy to drop something a person does not believe in.

Just because you arent an Bible Literalist doesnt mean you dont believe the historical and reliable proof that stems from it.
