The woman is a city and you could refer to the woman as any one of many cities. For example; Rome or Jerusalem. Both cities have been popular in eschatology.

Different imagery from different prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. The woman on the scarlet colored beast also represents the unfaithful Mother church (RCC - not the people but what it teaches) *Revelation 17:1-10

Revelations says the woman is a city not what your saying, i.e., a religious organization.

I think it is talking about Rome where the woman sits. Rome itself may not be destroyed, but the woman entity associated with Rome will be destroyed by fire, and made nonexistent.

Jerusalem is not going to be destroyed because Jesus returns to rescue the Jews there in Zechariah 14.

Hi Valleta nice to meet you. Rome is not a city. The Greek word for mountain is G3735; ὄρος and means a rise meaning mountain or hill. I have no problem with seven hills of Rome. It still points to the Vatican as Vatican city is a state enclave in Rome that sits on "seven hills".

The woman, a separate entity, and not Babylon the Great, will be destroyed by being burnt to the ground by the ten kings associated with the beast.

Our most common liturgical rite is the "Latin" or "Roman" rite. There are seven rites in the Catholic Church, and it is much preferred to got to a mass using the same liturgical rite.

Revelation Revelation 18:11-13 is not talking about the cargo of the Roman Catholic Church. It is talking about "their cargoes" meaning the cargoes of the kings of the earth. My claims are supported by the scriptures. As posted through this thread already and letting the scripture interpret itself a "woman" in bible prophecy represents a pure Church (dressed in white) or an apostate church (harlot dressed in scarlet).

Yes, I know that name is what is written on her head. But in comparison people will be required to take the name of the beast on their head or right hand - in Revelation 13. Yet they themself are not the beast. See what I mean ?
