In all seriousness, while this isn't a problem, I consider susceptibility when vetting suitors given my work. Men who struggle with lust, addictions, greed, and related challenges are wholly off-limits. I don't want to contribute to anyone stumbling. Not even indirectly.

Then why your current avatar? Not that it causes any problems for me, but it seems to qualify as being questionable in light of what you were just saying. (I wonder what we'd see if she turned this way just a little more to the left.....).

I guess the point I'm making is that just about anything at all can be a problem for somebody.

I know this is coming from an atheist so feel free to just ignore this. But if clothed woman is all it takes for them to stumble then thier going to stumble. That's just a part of life if anything they should work on thier own control, they are responsible for themselves not other people.

That isn't the point. This is a picture. Not someone standing in your face. Removing it from your sight is easy. There's no need to wonder. Haven't you seen a strapless gown?

You're correct. The issue is self-control and denial. I can be exposed to things I'd never engage in. I'm not susceptible to the behavior. There's nothing within me that desires to emulate it. I don't struggle with lust. I was abstinent many years before I was reconciled to Christ. That's in my DNA.

Some people are weaker. They don't want to admit their inability to tuck in or keep themselves in check. They're ruled by their loins.

PS. I like atheists. They keep it real. :)

Ladies, Does How You Dress Cause Men to Lust? - Sermon by Al Martin

Does how you dress honor God? Does how you dress cause men to stumble and lust? I pray this message will awaken some of you ladies consciences to the errors in your dress that is causing some of the little ones of the Lord to stumble.

The video sounds like something straight out of Episode 1 of The Handmaid's Tale.

Will you Christians please stop all this sinning? :)

That’s truly the only thing that’s in one’s power to do is to change oneself. As Bella pointed out what her conscience allows is her business, no one else’s, xcept the Father’s.

Do you have evidence of that or it speculating that abstinence is hereditary? Perhaps free will had no effect then?

Saint Anthony, the father of Christian monasticism, was once asked what we must do to be saved. He answered that we are to control our eyes, our tongues, and our stomachs. Since it's been 1,500+ years since that time and we all still have problems in these areas, I'd say it still applies, and what's more that it's not up to anyone but yourself what you do. I can't recall exactly where it comes from, but I know the Eastern Orthodox embrace the viewpoint (which I would also share, despite not being of that communion) that we are saved together, but damned alone. I like this because the two ways of looking at it are equally pertinent to this question (and many similar questions): We are saved together because our actions as a community of worshipers all have an effect on a community-wide level, and we are damned alone because each one of us is still responsible for what we do and what we do not do.

So no one 'gets off the hook', but hopefully as a corollary there will be a lot of support from the community you are in, as after all we are all sinners in need of healing, and we are all after the same goal of salvation in and union with God.

That’s why both sides of a conversation are pertinent because they flow both ways.

I would suggest that the lust was in those men before they saw the woman whose dress they blamed. They need to mature and live in reality where seeing someone as attractive is not a temptation but simply part of the beauty of this world and of the next. Adam fell not because of Eve but because he wanted what she had been given just as she wanted what the serpent offered. Booth got what they wanted. So if seeing an attractive woman leads you to sin it is because you wanted that sin.
