I never understand why people use chimp behavior in zoos as evidence against them being relayed to humans.

You mostly see the adults relaxing and quietly communicating among themselves, with the little ones running around and climbing all over everything.

Occasionally something significant will happen and tempers fly and aggressive body language is presented.

They are less intelligent, but really not so different to a couple of bored human families sitting around.

One should not conflate creationism with Christianity. Most Christians are not creationists. Creationists merely tend to be the most obnoxious ones. You get a false impression of Christianity if you base it on creationists.

Now you've switched from a 2% difference claim for all mammals (when it is really for Humans/Chimps) to a 20% difference claims specifically between Humans and Chimps.

Whether a mutation degrades, improves, or is neutral it is still a change.

Many find the idea of being an ape or being related to chimps insulting and seem to assume that if they do, everyone does. The idea that we are keeping chimps in zoos seems to them an example of our total superiority rather than a sad example of our regrettable treatment of other creatures - which doesn't bother many of them because someone said that God said that they can do what they like with other creatures
