The 2020 elections, Biden's popularity (61%), Trump's loss of popular support, etc. ...
Not on everything, there is a very good chance that the Dems will lose the majority in both the Senate and the House. When that happens he is going to have two years of the Reps treating him exactly as he as been treating them. There are several things that Biden is trying to do that are not endorsed by the majority of voters. Time will tell.

You should start a separate thread on that. This thread is about the great job Biden did in turning the US around from being severely lacking in Covid response to being the global leader in Covid response. It's impressive that he cleaned up the mess he inherited and put us at #1 in such a short time!

Sure. He inherited all the work that the previous administration had done...and which Biden himself had previously thought impossible.

If any of us had been elected president last November, we could likewise claim that the vaccines, the knowledge now available to us about treatments, and all of that had occurred on our watch...thanks to us personally, of course. ;)

And if Biden is going to be lauded for allowing the work of others to go forward, we should also be wringing our hands over the way he's failed to stop the surge of new infections occurring in the past month or so and personally helped spread the virus.

What about the governors? Do they play any role in how much the virus spreads?

If he had actually been guilty of even 1% of what the MSM and liberals tried to assert I might give it a thought.

Biden's support was less than any president in recent history except for Trump who was, as we know, constantly called illegitimate by the losers in that election (doing which, is NOW called treason or an insurrection by some of the same people). And Biden has lost support steadily since the early polls were taken.

The Trump Administration did nothing to support the states in getting vaccines into arms. Biden did....so effective, in fact, that today some states have an over-supply of the vaccine. It's now up to individuals to step up and get vaccinated.

And Biden did nothing to make these vaccines available to anyone, yet I'm reading here that he should get all the credit for them. It's nonsense.

Top Trump officials actively lobbied Congress to deny state governments any extra funding for the Covid-19 vaccine rollout last fall — despite frantic warnings from state officials that they didn’t have the money they needed to ramp up a massive vaccination operation.

Trump officials lobbied to deny states money for vaccine rollout last fall

(Reuters) - There was no distribution plan for the coronavirus vaccine set up by the Trump administration as the virus raged in its last months in office, new President Joe Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain, said on Sunday.

“The process to distribute the vaccine, particularly outside of nursing homes and hospitals out into the community as a whole, did not really exist when we came into the White House,” Klain said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“We’ve seen this factor all over the country where millions of doses have been distributed, but only about half have been given out,” Klain said.

“So the process of getting that vaccine into arms - that’s the hard process. That’s where we’re behind as a country. That’s where we’re focused in the Biden administration - on getting that ramped up.”

That proves my point, doesn't it? There wouldn't even BE these vaccines today if it were not for the work of the Trump administration...and in the face of claims by Biden and Co. that it was impossible!

So no, I'm not going to give Biden all the credit you want us all to shower him with when it was someone else's doing.

Credit the Trump Administration for removing barriers to the rapid development of the vaccines.
Credit the Biden Administration for getting the vaccines into arms.

You asked for evidence. I gave it. The Trump Administration refused to assist states with distristribution of the vaccine.

That's yet to be seen.

Biden's numbers are a good sign for Dem's ... and the Republican party is currently a clown show.

And Biden hasn't even passed his infrastructure plan yet ...

Well, you do have to use the real figures, you know.

RCP Average 4/17 - 5/3 -- 54.0 41.5 +12

Where do you think that puts Biden on your list? The answer: below all the others except for Trump, just as I said.

You are wasting time with facts. None of these matters. For four years we have seen how incompetent Trump administration were. From Feb 29, 2020 to Nov 5, 2020 over 235 thousand Americans died from COVID-19, in same time in Australia 907 Aussies died. Yet over 75 million went and voted for Trump. You think you can present article or facts to convince these 75 million of people?

I was merely responding to Abion's request for evidence (he subsequently updated that post). I realize many people will never be convinced......

The 538 average takes all of the major polls into consideration.

If you scroll down the page, you can see how Biden compares to past recent presidents in his first 100 days.

He compares favorably to a number of them.

Certainly to Trump, who is at the bottom of the barrell, but also to GWB and Clinton ...

How Popular Is Joe Biden?

So also does RCP and, unlike 538, is not considered to be biased towards one end of the political spectrum or the other.

That aside, 538 uses far fewer polls in its average. Even so, the percentages reported by 538 verify the results shown by RCP and which I reported earlier. That is to say, Biden's standing comes in at a lower percentage than all other of the recent presidents except for Trump.

You've got a link that shows the comparison between Biden and other presidents at this stage in their presidency (100 days) ?

From my quick look at the available comparable polling data on RCP, GWB was about 54% approval at this point in his presidency as well ...

He inherited a mess, a stalled effort because Trump paid no attention to getting the vaccines out and to people.

The title of the article in the OP says it all: "Under Biden, US went from having one of the worst Covid responses to being global leader in Vaxx". The article goes on to explain, so read it to find out why.
