Considering that the word seems to have been invented by Paul and is not used elsewhere, it's a matter of significant scholarly debate. At most you could say it applies to people who actually engage in homosexual acts, rather than those who simply have the orientation.



The same applies to heterosexuals, though. You can't say that a heterosexual Christian can never be tempted. The point is resisting the temptation, and seeking forgiveness.

The Church is not homophobic it is anti homosexual. And rightly so . It is a sin to be a homosexual. To have desires even if we do not act on them is a sin.
