The US army have filters to filter out unsustainable candidates. They don't allow random joe to join the military.
Want me to start posting news storys about US soldiers comitting war crimes?

I was surprised to learn Kissinger was still alive. (He is 97.) Assuming he still has all his marbles I would love to hear his commentary on Trump's Presidency. It would be a delight!
That is what I was thinking.

Filters can be bypassed, people change, stuff happens.

Something size of US military must statistically have it’s fair share of lunatics, idiots, fanatics, traitors, idiots, spies and whatnot.

It is a military organization not an army of God. And if I remember correctly even He had a bit of problem with chain of command and ungrateful subordinates.

The Saudis are also a possibility. They don't want Iran to have the bomb until we finish giving them one.

They don’t want war though looking at their inept military and recent history so poking Iran at this time with Trump doing his unpredictable last gasp terror at White House this would be highly unlikely to be their agenda.

Now Israel to hope Trump commits US to dust off before going back to golfing would be a much more likely scenario.

Or they just got an opportunity and took it without expecting any escalation.

No, they just want to hold our coat while we get into it.

They didn’t really push it when their oil refineries got hit did they ?

Or when oil tankers got explosives planted on them ?

Even if US did majority of the job the unstability and collateral damage would be enormous.

If there is something Saudi elite appreciate it is local stability that is keeping them on their thrones - factually and figuratively.

They may seek to undermine Iran , not have a war with them.

I've given your post an Informative icon. The main thing it informs me is that you appear to be trying to pass off comments made four years ago as being current remarks. I give you full marks for staying on message.

Perhaps this more recent item is more revealing. Here is an extract:
The Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board, an influential advisory panel of former officials, is dominated by experts who do not reflect the hard-line policies toward China put into place under President Trump, according to analysts. Chief among those on the board with views that clash with Mr. Trump is former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, architect of the conciliatory U.S. policies that argued in favor of unfettered economic and diplomatic engagement with the communist regime.

But please note, this does not specifically state that Kissinger's current views run counter to Trump's. One might wonder if the master of Realpolitik would change his mind over the course of four decades. On the other hand the article also notes:
William C. Triplett II, former chief Republican counsel for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said at least two-thirds of the board’s members should support the vision of the administration in power, with one-third reflecting from previous administrations. “But the one-third should be distinguished persons who are not known for high and active partisanship,” Mr. Triplett said.“The present composition of the board does not appear to meet that standard,” he said. “For example, certainly Dr. Kissinger is entitled to his opinions on China, but they are the antithesis of the Trump administration . . ."

On balance it is reasonable to conclude that Kissinger's suspicion that Trump might become a very considerable President is likely not borne out.

Sure thing, but is it enough to pull a coop though? Small amount of soldiers isn't going to cut it.
