Armaggeddon in the Bible and "Spirit of Prophecy"

Matthew 24 states clearly that the deceptions at the end of time will be so conclusive that even the elect would be deceived if God had not given them revelation and warning.

Same is seen in Rev 13 - all the world deceived by the signs and wonders that are coming.

Rev 16 gives the symbol and also its interpretation.

Rev 16 (6th plague in vs 12-14)
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

And where do we see "Battle" after the 6th plague?

Answer - Rev 19
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God

This is where the "Kings of the earth" are "Gathered for battle"

Rev 19
19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.

And that war resumes after the 1000 year millennium
Rev 20
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

So then it is not until the 6th plague that the devil directs all national leaders to assemble their armies and prepare for battle. And in Rev 19 we see them assemble to make war -- but not on the saints.

The plagues come as a result of the death decree issued against the saints at the end of time - this is long before the 6th plague. Once the plagues start to fall - probation has closed and the saints cannot be killed

- in addition the saints don't fight against the kings of the Earth or their armies.

We need to study the pouring out of the seventh vial. The powers of evil will not yield up the conflict without a struggle. But Providence has a part to act in the battle of Armageddon. When the earth is lighted with the glory of the angel of Revelation eighteen, the religious elements, good and evil, will awake from slumber, and the armies of the living God will take the field.17 {Mar 257.2}

Four mighty angels hold back the powers of this earth till the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads. The nations of the world are eager for conflict; but they are held in check by the angels. When this restraining power is removed, there will come a time of trouble and anguish. Deadly instruments of warfare will be invented. Vessels, with their living cargo, will be entombed in the great deep. All who have not the spirit of truth will unite under the leadership of satanic agencies. But they are to be kept under control till the time shall come for the great battle of Armageddon.18 {Mar 257.3}

Every form of evil is to spring into intense activity. Evil angels unite their powers with evil men, and as they have been in constant conflict and attained an experience in the best modes of deception and battle, and have been strengthening for centuries, they will not yield the last great final contest without a desperate struggle. All the world will be on one side or the other of the question. The battle of Armageddon will be fought, and that day must find none of us sleeping. Wide awake we must be, as wise virgins having oil in our vessels with our lamps.... {Mar 257.4}

The power of the Holy Ghost must be upon us, and the Captain of the Lord’s host will stand at the head of the angels of heaven to direct the battle. Solemn events before us are yet to transpire. Trumpet after trumpet is to be sounded, vial after vial poured out one after another upon the inhabitants of the earth. Scenes of stupendous interest are right upon us.19 {Mar 257.5}

“The Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Isaiah 26:21.... In the mad strife of their own fierce passions, and by the awful outpouring of God’s unmingled wrath, fall the wicked inhabitants of the earth—priests, rulers, and people, rich and poor, high and low. “And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried.” Jeremiah 25:33.42 {Mar 296.4}

My understanding is the war resumes after the 1000 year millennium, at the second coming all His saints will rise and meet Him and the saints who are dead will also rise and meet Him than we go to Heaven for 1000 years, the devil is left on earth for 1000 years with no one to tempt, as everyone will be dead. After the 1000 years Jesus will rise the the dead of everyone who received the mark of the beast and Satan and his followers will go to war with Jesus. Jesus destroys Satan once and for all along with his angles and anyone who received the mark of the beast. We will have a new Earth where we will build houses and explore the galaxies and sin will be no more. We will worship our Savior every Sabbath and live in peace without sin for eternity.

Question- what do you think will happen after probation closes? What if we have family members who do not receive the seal of God and we are living with them. God said He would protect those who receive the seal of God from the plagues, so our loved ones who do not have Gods seal would not be protected. I know I have a lot of praying for a lot of people, including myself!

My understanding is the war resumes after the 1000 year millennium, at the second coming all His saints will rise and meet Him and the saints who are dead will also rise and meet Him than we go to Heaven for 1000 years, the devil is left on earth for 1000 years with no one to tempt, as everyone will be dead. After the 1000 years Jesus will rise the the dead of everyone who received the mark of the beast and Satan and his followers will go to war with Jesus. Jesus destroys Satan once and for all along with his angles and anyone who received the mark of the beast. The 6th plague in Rev 16 - is before the second coming event of Rev 19 and that is where they are instructed to go gather for the battle of Armaggeddon. Then the two armies are seen to meet in Rev 19.

But of course in Rev 20 the wicked are resurrected and once again gather for battle.

Question- what do you think will happen after probation closes? What if we have family members who do not receive the seal of God and we are living with them. God said He would protect those who receive the seal of God from the plagues, so our loved ones who do not have Gods seal would not be protected. I know I have a lot of praying for a lot of people, including myself!

Let's say people are fleeing from wicked city areas into the mountains and it is at a time when all civil liberties/religious-liberty have been cancelled. (for the sake of discussion). Then some group that is fleeing finds that some of them are being killed by the various groups trying to stop them. This is after the Rev 15:8 close of probation for mankind.

Ellen White refers to those as "deluded enthusiasts"

Here you have the separation of the sheep and goats... you have those who still cling to the cross and those who entered into the closest relationship with God.

   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
   

The seal of God is given to the people found within the temple.

1. Revelation 11:19
   And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
   

Only on the great Yom Kippur will judgement be done. No court can be in session, nor can it proceeded without the proclamation of the Laws by which people will be judged. The Ark of His Testament reveals the laws by which the people of the earth will be judged. It is an ever greater event than the Mount Sinai event.

   And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.....17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle....15:5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. ....8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

That point about "no man was able to enter the temple", that included Yeshua, our High Priest, and that means Yom Kippur services are over. All the prophetic story told in the Day of Atonement is done. The two goats, the scapegoat has done his great imitation, and so the world has chosen their goat.

1. Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

These plagues are without mercy. They are not like the other vials which are poured with hopes of causing repentance.

1. Revelation 16:17
   And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
   

Opening of the seventh seal..."the mystery is finished".

I agree that the Rev 16 -- seven last plagues are in the context of the Rev 15:8 Sanctuary ministry in heaven shut down. so then as you point out ... without mercy.

Another good point raised here... and that judgment Yom Kippur began in 1844 on Yom Kuppur -- according to Daniel 7 and 8

With the beginning, there is a time for an ending, and what would be more appropriate than for it to end at the end of Yom Kippur.
